I saw two threads earlier pertaining to generations (millennials, gen x, etc) and I was wondering, which gen are you guys from? I’m from Gen Z, so I’m on the younger side. I’m actually really interested where everyone is from! :)

Gen X here
Who cares? Like, not trying to be rude but why should it matter?
Millennial :B
the one for the people who were born in 1990
I'm generation... Okay, you got me, I'm a vampire, living for roughly thousand years. Happy now?
I'm gen Sonic vs Mario, when arcades were the true test of skill, and when Capcom were making DLC before it was a thing now. We talking 12 Street Fighter 2's to the max cause Capcom couldn't or wouldn't count to 3 in the 90's. :D
If I was already 14 when the universe was created what generation does that make me? >.>
FYI those Hollywood people totally got all the dinosaur colors on those Jurassic Park movies wrong.
Sinnoh.
What?
Yes, I was born at a time of the year in a year of the past.
What do you want to know? When I was born, or when I was pulled out of cryogenic stasis?
I'm a millennial apparently, even I didn't know that. Or should I say I didn't know Gen Y was considered the millennial generation. Yay I'm old, I think... the age range at the moment is 24-39, and I'm in the center of that, so you tell me?
Also if we are currently on Gen Z, does that mean the next generation will be Gen AA?
No idea. Back then they didn't name the different generations.
I don't see why this matters personally.
I feel most connected to the recently-dubbed Xennial micro-generation (a small handful of birth years where it feels like you're just a little too old to be a Millenial but a little too young to be Gen X).
Basically we think absolutely everything is wrong with the world like Millenials do, but we also don't really care enough to fix it like Gen X. Best of both worlds if you're both lazy and want to have a reason to wantonly hate stuff, I suppose.
Pokemon Red/Blue
This basically goes to literally everything in the universe, so your statement is void in itself. If you don't care about something, just skip it. You don't need to ask why. Do you also yell at the newspapers because you don't care about the headline? Or do you mail the news anchor because he is broadcasting something you don't care about?
If OP would like to know what generation you are from, just answer or be quiet. Or in your words: Does someone care if you care? I do not care if you care or not - not to be rude of course? See how stupid that is in a discussion forum to descredit someone's question, whatever that question might be? Going into a thread which title is pretty self-explanatory, you can't care less - you still have the urge to enter it nonetheless and post how much you don't care. This is mindboggingly ironic and silly, isn't it? You guys never can walk past something without derailing threads like Hooligans disturbing random passengers and disrupting business ownsers just because you only care about soccer right now, can you? Und unlike so much garbage here it actually has a reason, because there is right now a debate going on between gaming cultures (speedrunners and entitlement vs Old School gaming etc.)?
Geez, you guys with your "I dunn care what otharz zay" attitude - just pull the plug then and don't expose yourself other people's questions or opinions. This entire thread is being derailed for no reasons by you trolls, it's one of these disgusting forum moments when you realize it contains of childish trolls that spend their time with trash answers out of boredom: "I am from Generation RED/BLUE".
I am a millennial by generation category, definitely don't think a stereotypical one though.
I don't know... Never really paid attention to all that... I'll be 37 this month so... Whatever that makes me I guess. Heh. =P
Super Mario Brothers Generation for the Nes... that's right kids I'm Classically trained (even have the Atari 2600 under my belt)
Generation Xtremelly awesome ty very much
He did though, albeit indirectly. He said gen Red/Blue. Based on the age range for the intended game(s) that would make him a millenial; so between 24-39. Though I'd say he is closer to 30 at least given the commonality of gaming systems at the time. Older children tended to have them more than younger children.
Lol, I was curious if this question would ever come up...
I'm a Xennial myself. Born Dec '79 so I'm like right between the two. It's a weird place to be in. Millennials think I'm too old to grasp their problems and concerns, and anyone older thinks I should be more on their side than I am. In the meantime, I'm over here like "I see both sides of this issue? And maybe if people would stop screaming at each other or dismissing each other's view points we might get something intelligent done?"
No one ever listens to me on that though. XD
The Legend of Zelda and Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior here) when they were current.
1980's so whatever that makes me and also kanto generation ;)
Millennial, 1993. I remember Sega/sonic, Pokemon yellow/blue, Digimon (first season), Legend of Zelda Orcarina of time & Majora's Mask, FFVII-IX being really big when I was a kid. We also had this gray Nintendo, but we had traded it for Nintendo 64. I think Nintendo 64 (Sega and PS1, too) was more prevalent for my childhood, but the gray one was probably more so for my siblings (they're 5-10 years older).
Some people naysay things like this on forums but I understand the curiosity xD It's pretty interesting (and weirdly fun to see the variety /squints/ I expected mostly Z's and millennials. So, when the first post was like I'm Gen X," I was all "oh, that's cool :o " because it wasn't what I expected. xD
On a side note, my babyboomer dad was actually the one to get me into games. They were mostly PC games and I'd usually play those whenever he brought me into work for a little bit (this was like... when I was toddler or something). He was actually the one who got me into Final Fantasy in the first place, too xD Before I could even read, he, my bro, and I had played FFIX together and it was so much fun. He or my bro would take turns reading the dialogue for me in a very animated way. It was a lot of fun.
You're a millennial, most likely :3 Generations usually span about 20 years (give or take a couple).
