Visual Effects in PvP - No Way to Turn Down?

I know in character configuration you can turn down or off some spell effects, but these specifically exclude PVP.

Does anyone know a combination of settings or SOMETHING that will allow some reduction in on screen spell rendering? It hurts my eyes, for one, but also - especially when all three teams are fighting for mid in the OH - it's so hard to see anything.

Just don't understand why no option to lessen spell effects.

it's more realistic this way, they work like flashbangs, isn't it fun?

Sorry having to bump this thread, but i searched everywhere.

I really struggle to see anything in PVP because of the battle effects it really is too much.

I would love a option to allow us to lower them.

I can not see anything but flashes and although they are pretty it is not good for my eyes as I can not see what I am doing :(

You can it is under character configuration.

I think, it'd take a frontlines pop to check, one that I'm not willing to do, but IIRC

See where it says Others (Excl. PvP) I have no clue what that means, but it doesn't mean excluding pvp because I play with all the flashy stuff disabled.

Can we please get a fix for this?
It's just too bright in PVP and you can't even properly target anyone.

I agree. Recently it has gotten so bad that in the beginning of matches some enemy players can’t even be seen and I can still be targeted by them.

Dancer is particularly bad about this. I turned off all effects everywhere but dancers in feast are just like human fireworks. Let us turn that stuff off.

I'm not sure why, but I've never lagged so hard in an MMO.. or any game for that matter, as soon as other players show up... I get about a 4-5 second delay lmao Doesn't happen anywhere else. Only PvP. PvP is the only place I lag. and I lag for a good 5 mins straight at the start which is super helpful.

Now, considering you are able to turn off everyone elses battle animations in PvE.. where there are a lot less people spamming all their buttons as fast as they can.. yet not in PvP when it's literally 60+ people in a small area going HAM.
Makes perfect sense.

Lower the lag in areas where there is none and remove the way to reduce lag in the ONE game mode that actually needs it.

Feels like Blizzard planning.

Was also looking for an answer to this, since I was gonna post that the visuals in PVP are a little out of hand and. You can't turn them off either.

I've tried. (excl. PVP) means just that...no way to show none of the other players attacks.

Take a look at the Character Config screen if you wanna see what I'm talking about.

I play the rest of the game with my own effects on, my party with some, and others on NONE for a reason. Way too much going on otherwise. Then you throw 72 players all smashing each other with explosions and flashy attacks in PVP...I can only play so many matches before my eyes and head start hurting. This is how I survive Bozja, Eureka, Alliance raids, Hunts....etc. PVP needs to give us the option as well.
