I probably would want either Zinogre Deviljho or Rajang to come over. Not sure what I would give to MHW... maybe a dragon like Nidhogg or Shinryu.
Actual MH gear and not terrible "this is how Eorzeans would make it" interpretations.
Not gonna lie. the Original Warrior set would suit Iceborn perfectly.
Bravura would fit in well too (as a hammer skin).
Honestly would love some MH themed weapons in ffxiv.
Wouldn't mind the Guild Palace set.

You don't need to have played MH to make sense of it. The name of the game is literally the title. Also, we have Nier - that doesn't make any sense either, especially for the small amount that I know about the game's lore, but it's enjoyable all the same. Some people even enjoyed Yokai and GAROU.
Yoshida did say he'd pick Rajang, as mentioned above, though I can't see how they'd actually implement the fight to do Rajang justice. That is one insanely angry monkey. Other fights have had some MH-like mechanics that were alright (Bismarck and Steps of Faith).
I want Monster Hunter style weapons, though. Especially if they'd be modeled after Rajang - they'd have a lot of creative opportunity with Rajang's signature black, gold and red color scheme; especially if they include his golden lightning.
Making sense for cross-overs is complicated overall, and... is there need to make clothes have sense? It's clothes, after all, and the world of Hydaelyn is weird enough to have very different type of clothes.
As for the story - we already have Nier, and without playing the actual Automata I'm quite sure most people are just like "2B UwU 9S bad", when most of those who played (among my friends at least), including me, are "Something is fishy here". Which will be fair for most of cross-overs with actual story line. I mean, even in other cross-overs we had, if there is no knowledges about original game, there is a chance of "???" feeling.
^This, and the real running animation for the palico, instead of the "speed up the walking animation". An animation when two palico minions meet as well, the same way our palico salutes the grimalkynes in MH would be nice.
I don't really want a specific monster, but a brute wyvern instead of a flying one would make a nice change (so, let's talk about Brachy's theme now...) Beside this, I just want a fight not only in one circle or a square. Something more like the fights against Gilgamesh, where we have to move to different locations during the fight, and why not having to bait the monster on optional traps near walls like we do in MH.
But, overall, I just want it to be very faithful to Monster Hunter. As faithful as the behemoth on Monster Hunter. The event with Rathalos was good, but so many little details were missing. Especially on Rathalos and his animations. About that : don't forget the eyelids on the monster next time!
Monster Hunter has so many armors that have fur, and the skin/scales of a monster. I would love for a few of them to come over or at least see FF14 give us more of these types of designs. Anja Armor is pretty iconic and I would wear probably over any cosmetic in all of FF14:

Also: Nergigante, Nargacuga, Deviljho, Lagiacrus would all make gnarly mounts.
Velkhana. Velkhana everything.
It's a big image. Click it.

I'm not saying it can't have just about as many MH elements as they want. Obviously we aren't going to be getting a Protoaxe or the like as it'll have to fit our jobs, but otherwise -- go wild.
But you should be able to go from, say, XIV's vague, general concept of a "Hunt" and simply throw a new MH monster and MH characters at it and, despite however much you throw MH into there, no one needing to know that it wasn't just a uniquely-equipped set of individuals going after a rare hunt or the like. Your MH-oblivious player should be able to go "Wow, XIV got a lot more interesting for a bit there!"
Now, I do likewise worry about XIV pulling off Rajang. (I don't think they even did Rathalos justice, to be honest.) I almost feel like their only way to suitably showcase Rajang is to include a turf war... where we're largely the collateral damage. Or, heck, maybe we need to help Rajang even though he's far less discriminant about who he takes apart, and our tanks end up popping cooldowns and making themselves useful as projectiles for Rajang to yeet at his much larger main enemies. Who knows?
Nothing. I don't like MH, and there's nothing in that world's lore that I find cool or interesting (even though I do like some elements of the visual design).
A Dragon's Dogma crossover on the other hand...
Palicos that mrow and run like the real thing from MHW.
Velkhana. I liked the regal design and ice attacks. It'd be easy enough to justify as being a threat emerging somewhere in Coerthas.
Blackveil Vaal Hazak would be a great choice, too - for the creepiness factor.
Yes, I'd love for the palico minion to have sounds...
Grammeowster Chef.
I'd want Valstrax, with a Valstrax mount and the armour would fit in well with ffxiv it even has a circle arena prime for falling off
Valstrax's intro for those who don't know what it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7wSA1-50DE
Hopefully not. The dragon fight was the worst trial in the game because the boss doesn't tell you what it's casting at all. I play Final Fantasy XIV specifically to avoid action genre RPGs.
Add MHW themed classes
A tank that uses a Gunlance
A DPS using a Heavy Bowgun or Hammer
A Healer using a Hunting Horn. (Not really a healer but it's the game's support weapon and probably the closest thing to being called a healer weapon)
This is true. There are so many NM's and Bosses in game already with attacks that don't have a cast bar, only slightly telegraphing what's coming next giving you a microsecond to recognize and dodge. Rathalos telegraphs are in the way he positions his body before every attack. It just needs to be memorized, like most other fights.
Maybe next one they can create land off of monster hunter like how eureka is and have bunch of monster hunter theme fates and NM's in it.
If they do another even. They need to add kirin for reasons.
