About Mansions, how about letting us use the Balcony!

All of the Mansions have a door on the upper floor middle balcony that is supposed to lead outside to an outdoor balcony, some models of housing actually having areas you could put some furnishings on.

Why not add an entry/exit point at the said door so that players can access it naturally? It would be great for owners of Large plots/homes to be able to use it, especially with full FCs. Would make a nice little touch!

My neighbors are an fc that has one, and they went and build a dimension blade piece against the wall just so they could get on the balcony
yet there's a perfectly good doorway on the inside to use... but we can't use it!

so as it stands they still can't float the deck i gave them as a moving in present

I think I remember them talking about this in a Q&A session and I don't remember what the excuse was for not doing it or if they are working on it, but at least they should be aware that people want it, assuming my memory does not betray me.

The interior of the house is instanced, so if you went out onto the balcony, you'd have to go through the load screen every time, which would be a bit immersion breaking.
Personally, I'd prefer that the whole plot be instanced, so you could freely move in and out of the house, and even have windows you can see out of..

Ah, yes, thanks, that sounds about right.

As for the whole plot being instanced, I'm hoping they could experiment with Ishgard (assuming it will end up having a housing ward) moving forward. They can keep the existing wards as they are if that's too much work.

We have been asking for this since housing launched back in 2.something and its still not a thing, so don't expect it to happen.

Before housing launched Yoshida also said housing districts will spawn as they are needed, GC points could be used to increase sizes and add things like turrets and all kinds of cool additions to your house. But they rushed housing so hard that it is the massive mess we have today. And they do not seem to have any intentions of fixing it.

The game is build on rushed out limited crap coded foundation. It's also small instanced made and not sandbox.
The interior of a house is a separate instance from the housing ward and that's why we can't get real windows or balconies.
They wanted to make "fake" imitation balconies but there is complete silence ever since and we don't know if they ever add it.
I would prefer if the balcony was a small instance which will look over a generic ward image instead of the real live ward than having no access to the balcony at all.
Same goes for the windows. I would like bigger windows which will provide a view to "fake" static ward instead of the real live image.
Having those tiny cracks on the wall which they call windows does not satisfy me nor the imitation windows which you cannot place over the regular ones.

I would be ok with just having the ability to place some of the new windows we got over the existing ones or some way to swap them out with the new wall hanging ones they introduced, without needing to use partitions to create a whole new wall. Space is tight enough as it is in mansions to the point many of us wall off entire areas.

Yes fake windows with a fake view like the inn at kugane Q_Q

and the Balcony was a problem due having 2 doors, i dont know the detail but they were planned, you even see the door are there on "beta" screenshots...
