Why did they hype up the 5.0 changes and subsequently keep quiet about them as much as possible since?
Mechanics: Why is the fairy so clunky?
Players: Why do some healers never cast DPS spells in dungeons?
Talking to fellow healers; You most your healing is done by OCDs? Really?
Healers talking to me; You actually cast healing spells?
If SE didn't actually reduce the amount of healing downtime during encounters, why did they remove so many non-healing abilities?
SE wants healers to heal, yet designs encounters that hit like wet noodles so healers don't have to heal as much.
SE wants healers to heal, yet gets rid of a lot of DoT based gameplay (and move to more direct damage options) that would allow for 1 damage cast and then keep healing.
SE wants healers to heal, yet gives tanks HP recovery methods, DPS recovery methods. If everyone can heal, healers become redundant.
SE thinks SCH is completely overpowered so they essentially delete Selene from existence. She's a re-skin of Eos now.
And then SE and other players wonder why no one wants to heal.
.....SCH's fairy healing tools via fey blessing or the fey union seems weak. They need to do something to the fairy gauge to make it more...worthwhile.
I get the impression that some folk didn't read the OP.
why do my fellow whm's forget to use dia in eden raids when i seem to be solo healing
Are these new AST's I occasionally see in crystal tower roulette? why did they pick up the job when pretty much all AST's retired when 5.0 hit.
As a followup, SCH's, when did you guys stop wearing your nice hat? I only ever see it in crystal tower sch's now
Why do some healers think even the slightest overhealing is a bad thing? 1 more glare/broil isnt going to make a difference particularly when exdeath casts whitehole and wipes half the party because they were 80002/81016 hp on a farm
can my co healers please explain why they swiftcast raise someone the person who I'm rezzing slowly because they were taking so long
I honestly don't even understand what they're asking. Do they mean the NPC healers, like Alphinaud?
General healer confusion:
- Lily system (I haven't played WHM in years and I will never play it again, so I don't really plan to get fussed over it)
Class-wise confusion:
- Why they changed AST's cards so significantly when they only needed to change one card for the TP removal
- Why they removed some of AST's support skills like stun and time dilation, while WHM still has a stun
- Why they kept AST's "undraw" button when virtually no one uses it (some didn't even realised it existed).
- Why they decided SCH was no longer a saboteur class
- Why they made Selene a skin instead of making her more practical in the dungeons she'd be amazing in
- Why did Scholar forget some skills from its Arcanist days while its Summoner counterpart remembers?
- Why is Scholar not really a pet class anymore?

Which gets into another problem with healers if someone wants to pick it up. Want a tank? 20 levels to grind. Want ranged physical? 20 levels to grind. Want physical melee? 30 levels to grind. Want caster? 30 levels to grind. Want healer? 50 levels to grind. If no new healer in next expansion, that would be likely 60 levels to grind.
Some people enjoy AST. Some people find AST the "better" healer as things stand right now. I always run dungeons as AST.
Some people swiftcast when you're slowly rezzing because sometimes when people drop dead I have 7 seconds on my swiftcast so I'd rather wait. Also people struggle to see cast bars in the party. There's also the tims where there's 2 dead people and I'm guessing which one you're rezzing so we sometimes rez the same person. There's also priorities. If the party is low and there's AoE dmg coming up or a tank buster I'd rather make sure other people suvive first and then I focus on scrapping other people's behind off the floor.
About the players themselves? The only thing that really confuses me at this point (other than why play that role) is when they decide to not even try to DPS. For low level dungeons when you're just getting you're feet wet, sure, I get that, especially if you're brand new to the game as well, but the people who have several level 80s and are in a late ShB dungeon? That doesn't make any sense, mate. Throw out a holy or something, at least put some dots up.
SE why does Nocturnal AST suck so bad like soo bad to the point I hate healing with a WHM partner....
If I'm understanding your original question properly then I suppose what confuses me is why healers are typically played by extremes like super lively and polite people or emo as hell and bitchy all the time and I've seen this a lot in my WoW days too. Another thing that confuses me isn't about people why main healers but more of why people are so afraid of it, because honestly i find it the most engaging and fun role to play and wish I had done it sooner.
I often find myself wondering why some healers just refuse to use Esuna. Especially when there's something like four instances of poison on one person.
Tbf I was confused on the wording on the OP so I thought it was on topic technically it is devs have to touch healers even for few mins to make sure no hiccups in animations etc so they can be classed as other healers.
Why do some healers not have esuna on their hotbars especially for stuff like Doomgaze/Exdeath nm?
