Veteran Rewards and other Final Fantasy outfits

Now that this system is gone and no new rewards are forth-coming; I say we get access to other FF outfits, specifically FF15 (I will literally buy Ardyn's outfit right now--take my money) along with more outfits (especially ones from Female characters from other FFs) available in the cash shop. I'm not sure why they decided that rewarding people for staying subbed was no longer worth it, but there are so many outfits out there that I want and I feel like with Dissidia getting Zenos and Yshtola (and now Ardyn, Eeeeeee), we should be getting some of that kick-back outfit love.

I mean, fine if they want to make it content gear (like Balthier's outfit from Orbonne) but while the items we got from the FF15 crossover are amazing, there is so much out there that we could still conceivably get and I personally miss the excitement that new veteran rewards gave us.

Anyone feel the same?

I think the reason they stopped doing to veteran rewards was something like it would take new players far too long to earn them. With that system no longer being around though I will agree they need some other avenue for getting these kinds of items that isn't the cash shop.

That was entirely the reason behind it. The rewards were super spread out and it would eventually get to the point where a newbie might join and never have a hope of actually obtaining some of the items offered, even if they never dropped their subscription from the day they first joined. The system needed to go, but I do wish they'd find some other way to give us outfits from other Final Fantasy's without the need for some out of game promotion or release.

I keep forgetting it exists since it so rarely receives any updates...

That's my main gripe. Like...give us new stuff other than one item per Expansion. I think all we got so far is the Ribbon item. When SB dropped we got a mount at least, along with a couple other things if memory serves.

I had originally suggested SE move away from their current veteran system and consider a kupo nut system where every so often players get nuts that can be spent in place of cash in the mog shop. Where the main reason that I thought their current system was an issue in that like "6 years to get Cloud's hair" or something would be a detractor rather than an attracter for some players, and just not feel really great later down the line as the game got older.

I see they used the kupo nut currency for their app and did move away from the long duration system, but I do feel they decided to let the system fall asleep in place of what existed previously lol (for the most part, it gets updated seldom). I still think the kupo nut cash shop thing would be interesting as it would take away some animosity against the cash shop (might take half a year or a year but you could get that one thing you wanted for free, or you might subsidize the cost or something). Perhaps that would encourage players to wait over spending real cash or something I'm not sure what the psychology study of people would show...

It was a cute system, just personally thought the increasing time costs past 1 year were going to be a negative experience for those just joining (especially if there were cool things added, which of course is preferable to "not cool things" added). Anyway I do wish they would have a timeline or post to their blog occasionally about the next veteran reward, like if they decide they'll make a new minor goof thing every 3, 6, 9 months, (minon, one off item, picture etc- maybe update once with multiple minor items at once vs over many times with only one each), and something larger on the 12 (outfit, mount, etc).

I'd love to have more items to spend my achievement certificates on...but I got most everything from the old veteran reward system passively, and they don't add to the new system as much as they should. Tossing a minion or something into the vendor each patch wouldn't be awesome, but it'd be something, and something would be better than nothing. Or at least better than a ribbon headpiece I'll never use, but that's a low bar. More outfits and mounts would be way better in my opinion.

We have gotten a few things from cross over events, such as the FFXIII event where Lightning visited us and the FFXIV event. I liked them but the problem becomes is that they are limited time and the rewards are not then available to all, especially players than join after the fact.

I'd love access to outfits/ hairstyles from characters that belonged to older Final Fantasy titles. Garnet (AKA: Dagger/Sarah's) Jumper & her long hair- heck even Tifa's outfit/ Hair or Rinoa's outfit & hair. Heck, I just want something that's not black & covered in belts or badly painted tribal tattoo's. Also, more long hair that has bangs, (Like Rinoa/Tifa/Garnet/Terra/Lulu/X Rikku/Yuna/Luna Freya/Sera/Vanille)- just something better than another spikey mullet. Tons of MMO's have events that last X amount of time, I'm okay with limited time events because Enix I feel has always given enough time for players & can always have another event if the playerbase was more proactive like they are with the 2B leggings. I could see it being better if it was the Mog event, the Kupo event where you turn in the Mog tomestones- especially since veteran rewards/ achievements are so sadly neglected.

I don't know how many certificates i have.. but i'm pretty sure i'd still have some left even if i was to rebuy everything on that vendor.. twice.

Well I pretty much have every unique item from him and have a ton of currency left with him. Though to be fair I didn't have to buy most of it since I'd gotten it through the veteran rewards program before they changed it.

I wouldn't mind them using it as a way to put glamours for characters in other SE titles not limited to the final fantasy series in there.
