[Request] Duty Roulette: Deep Dungeons

Please add a duty roulette for old deep dungeons (Palace of the Dead, Heaven on High). There are often substantial wait times to get a random group in Palace of the Dead, and virtually nobody is doing higher levels, resulting in massive wait times for content that is supposed to be role-agnostic. Heaven on High is even worse, with 20-30+ minute waits for even the first 10 floors, and as for higher floors, forget about it.

The way it could work is it would select from a pool of floors that you have cleared normally and you have a high enough level weapon and armor for. Your starting level would be decided based on which set of floors is selected. For example if the roulette selects PotD floors 11-20, it could start any players who joined via the roulette at level 20. For players who joined via the NPC outside the dungeon entrance, the system would still work the same as before.

If a new Shadowbringers deep dungeon is added, it could be excluded from the roulette until the expansion after Shadowbringers (Patch 6.0), as it would be current content, and therefore not in need of a roulette.

I get queues for the floors people actually play in less than 5 min usually. :)

Some kind of support would be great. I've been trying to get a couple of alts through PotD 1-50 and it's hard to get through the middle levels. I can get a party for the first one or two, but then it just fizzles out somewhere in the middle and I'm left waiting (or rather not waiting) hours for a full party.

I assume the problem is with the independent leveling system, which doesn't seem built to handle "enter at a random floor in a state not defined by a pre-existing save file".

I wonder if they could make the earlier floors accessible to squadrons, or some kind of AI support?

Or perhaps let you enter with an incomplete party if it sits at 3/4 for long enough?

people only run potd 51-60 and hoh 21-30. everything else is dead as it's old content.

The problem is that there is no way for a new player to get to those floors without passing through that "dead" content first. You need to make it through the first fifty floors of PotD, not only to access its higher floors but also to unlock HoH.

If a roulette isn't viable, the only possible alternative might be to allow a 'fast track' start at 51 as soon as you unlock PotD, but that would come with its own set of issues such as:
- utterly killing any chance of getting a matched party for the earlier floors
- subsequently blocking the ability to see the attached storyline and resolution to Edda's story
- affecting the requirements for unlocking HoH, if not also changed

I'd be up for this. Though I would only suggest floors 1-50 for the deep dungeon roulette for POTD and Floors 1-30 for HoH

Problem would be splved if deep dungeons could be played with Trust, then yould could do them solo with noc help, if yor progression there is still too low to completely do the whole thing total solo alone without npc help

If adding a roulette isn't viable, another option would be to apply the Echo when entering a deep dungeon solo or with less than 4 players, similar to how the Echo was added to Eureka to compensate for there being far fewer players after it became old content.

4 players: No Echo
3 players: 30% Echo
2 players: 90% Echo
1 player: 200% Echo

there is a solo challenge acheivement for running PoTD/HoH solo - having 200% echo would negate that challenge.

They could simply update that achievement to require you to run it with the echo silenced.

Will be better to just let people use squadron for that kind of content.
