Some love for people with alts

Isn't time to SE to recognize people who pay extra for more than one character per realm and allow us to transfer items through mailbox to some of our alts?

Not to mention some better system because the mailbox only accepts up to 20 items on hold.

Come on SE, give us some love already.

I'd settle for being able to send some starter cash to my alts. Maybe some crafted gear.

If they do this I'd also love them to allow UnTradeables and Binded items to be transferred between ALTS.

I'm still waiting for the house sharing system they said was in the works, it's been the longest time and I'm still unable to share my house with my alt characters!.

I would love to share items between my alt characters. Surely it could be implemented just by letting you friend your offline alts right?

Shared banks. It's not a new concept. We had these back in *EverQuest*.

It really is silly how alt-unfriendly this game is.

Easy fix, use more than 1 account.

I would just like a retainer that can hold items for characters of the same server.
Make it a Moogle Retainer and sell it in the Mogstation like they do with additional Retainers.
Have the Moogle Retainer only do storage.
It's a Moogle; Holding items for you is enough for it, venturing scares it, and it's not getting enough Kupo nuts to want to sell things. That's the Moogle's "excuse".

If I had to reason why this doesn't exist or why they fear to put it into place is probably because it will make communication/exchange between bots or buyers of RMT much more permeable.

If they allowed us to share a chest or mail between our own characters it would make it so those that use retainers for space would no longer have to pay for extra ones if they were willing to go through a few extra hoops.

They need to create account storage systems and let alts share housing with your main. I know if your alt belongs to same fc as your main can trade items by using fc storage chest so why can't they do same and have account shared storage. Think guild wars 2 has shared account banking and outfit storage so any alts can use any outfits bought from cash shop and use them. If think adding account shared storage would keep ones from buying retainers well you can already trade with them by having them all in same fc and just put items going to trade in fc chest.

Sorry, but you're not a special snowflake, nor does making alts make you a right-protected social class. You don't deserve special recognition, nor does anyone else just because they play the game a certain way.

I'm not sure where you're coming from or going with this? And no one is asking for anything that would be particularly difficult or anything that would take away much development time or costs for SE, either. In the past there have been loopholes that have allowed players to Friends List their alts and the servers are still running just fine.

What do you take offense to that you have found in this thread that you feel the need to point out that Alt Players are not "special snowflakes?" It came out of left field and is very awkward.

Woah cupcake! That's a lot of buzzword soup hostility over a request that would have nothing but net gain for everyone. What's with the anger, man? Who said anything about social class or protection or anything like that? Put the drama llama back in the closet, mate.

Who is paying extra if you are using the standard sub of 14.99 its 8 characters per world and you can have up to 40. The fun is getting your characters all on the same world. If you are using the Entry sub you are just shooting yourself in the foot. Entry sub is 12.99 for a total of 8 characters and the Standard is 14.99 for 40 characters total. The entry sub is vastly over charging you in comparison!!

All I'd like is for my alt to count as the owner of my personal house as well as my main. Especially since we can only have 1 house per service account.

They've made statements to the effect that they were looking at this way back in 4.2 (or there about) and nothing since. They've also stated they were looking at small, medium and large apartments at about the same time and nothing more since to my knowledge.

It's somewhat disappointing to see them restrict the purchase of homes to 1 per server per service account while never addressing the fact that alts can't share housing. Not being able to teleport to or even share a mender in a mains house is ridiculous and those of us who had the opportunity to buy our alts housing when it was permitted did so because of stupid limitations like this.

Alts are fun. Personally i couldn't see playing this game without them. A little accommodation to make things easier would be appreciated. The alt hate on this forum is pretty typical/common. Not stopping those of us who enjoy them however. They're fun, they keep us busy and hopefully SE addresses some of our requests sooner than later.

Personally I am for the idea of having one alt "tied" to your main. Like some achievements, story progression, etc and you could freely trade between the two. I enjoy having an alt on a EU server to interact with a group of friends but it's frustrating to do certain things again or not have access.

Things I wouldn't mind for alts.

1. Purchased personal home shares ownership with all characters on that same world.
2. Easily be able to mail items to your own characters on the same world from a mailbox or post moogle.
3. Shared achievements, maybe also make the triple triad card, mount, and minion logs account wide.

I'd love for them to make glamour and mounts bind to account, then maybe I'd actually make a alt.

Especially for things like holidays. It's kind of ridiculous that a new characters need to pay mog station for items I've already earned from events I've already attended, and it's why I have several characters sitting at level 30 now who I dust off for holidays in case I want to play them later, so I don't miss anything. Gotta roll alts early, save myself $150 in cosmetics.

The above is what the OP originally posted, and the bolded in particular is what I'm responding to. The OP wants S-E to specifically single-out (recognize) players who just so happen to pay a little extra more per month, and the way the question is posed, it's a little bit more than an ask. If that isn't special snowflake syndrome, then I don't know what is.

I'm not angry. You really should re-read what the OP wrote, and you'll see that they want special treatment because they pay a little bit more each month. Special snowflake syndrome, right there.

Being in the same FC will allow you to transfer items to and from your main to your alt via the FC chest, so long as they're tradable and your alt has the correct permissions to take items from the chest. You can do this with gil and crystals for crafting too.

I thought there was a way to friend yourself via Player Search or through the FC member list. It's been a while since I tried any of it. If they would allow that, then you could make your alt a tennant and bypass a lot of silliness. Most people would just like basic item and gil exchange but I'm sure botting is what holds them back from allowing it.

No. You don't need an alt in the first place. This game is built around 1 character because you can level everything on 1 character - there is no need for an alt. This has been said again and again. It doesn't matter if "But what if i want a different looking character/race", that's on you.

Yet, this game charges you to have more alts. Almost as if they encourage you to have them, anyway. If they're going to allow us to have so many characters, they should let us share things between them.

Yes, we know that we can do everything with just one character but that's not the point. People like playing with alts, and people want the game to be more accessible for alts. The "not needing alts" argument doesn't matter.

Eli85, you may or may not have fair arguments, but when you call people "special snowflakes" over and over to dismiss what people are saying, you just sound like a jerk and make me immediately stop caring about what you advocate for.
