Macros Lost

All my macros are gone. SE needs to fix this asap! I not gonna spend hours redoing them. Thought our info was being transferred also. Also looks like our configurations are gone.

Nope its lost luggage and has arrived on a another server. .. ...

Look at your document/FF XIV folders
maybe your char have now a new ID and you need to copy/paste the mcr0 file from the old char folder to the new

SE can't lost our macro file if we have this file all the time on our pc

After you log in for the first time, look in your documents/my games/final fantasy xiv/user folder for the newest hexadecimal folder. Log out, then copy/paste your game, mcr0, and ui files from your old character's folder to the new one in order to migrate all of your settings.

working on that now.... man thats really annoying

they could of warned us about this >.>

just do it like this... it works

umm which one is the new char folder and which one is the old one?

Probably the easiest way to tell is to look at the "date modified" of the folder. One should correspond with today's date, and one should correspond with the date of your original character's creation.

edit: also, in case it wasn't evident, you won't have a new folder to migrate your settings into unless you've actually successfully logged on to the new server.

Old one is the one with a lot of logs files in log folder. the New one, is the last edited folder.

But how can i know which is old one to copy to ..

Anyone know what circumstances this happens? All of my macros and configuration files carried over; I didn't have to copy anything.

Same with me. I'm from Selbina, though, where we had no real merge, just a name change. I thought maybe that's what it was for me...

former gysahl now masamune, my stuff is all intact as well, maybe its for people that switched to a different server and didn't just get merged.

well 2 min of file juggling shouldn't be too much of a hassle

Probably only the characters that were moved over. I am from fabul and had to do this. I have 3 IDs so I'm guessing the 1st one was from beta server.

From Mysidia, now on Gungnir. No loss of UI/macro/keybinds here.

i copied the whole folder xept the log folder into the other.. works for me ,if you not sure.. make a backup just incase

All my settings and macros are intact.

I came over from Istory to Gungnir and both macros and UI were gone.

I copied the macro and UI file into the new. Just a couple of questions, if I may, as this stuff scares the heck outta me lol. I didn't copy the game folder from old to new. What, specifically is in that? There doesn't seem to be anything out of line not copying the old game into the new folder. 2nd question - can/should I just delete the old folder? Will that cause me any issues?

Hmmm. looks like hot keys (and I'm sure more) is in the game file. Copied that over too lol.

You can delete your old folder, not a must tho.

same way you have a UI and a macro file... just copy everything
