Desythesis questions

Idk if this the right area to put this thread, but I was wondering if someone has any new guides for the new desythesis system. The question I was trying to find was is if square enix has removed the three job cap on desythesis. I currently have 3 jobs close to max under the old system (fishing,weaving, and alc) but I'm getting clogged with other gear in my inventory. Is it safe to break these pieces down without undoing the progress I made on my main three?

No need for a guide now. There are no more restriction on desynthesis at all. Just desynth things and your desynth levels will go up. There are no class limits. The cap is 460 for everything. Go nuts.

Would imagine there wouldn't be any new guides. What's to guide? Patch 5.1 notes:

Desynthesis can no longer fail, regardless of your desynthesis level.
* The requirements to unlock desynthesis have not been changed.
The combined total level limit for desynthesis has been removed.
As a result of this change, desynthesis levels can no longer go down, and it is possible to level desynthesis to maximum for all crafting classes.

Step 1: shred all the things.

I'm just sad I'd already finished leveling FSH and trying to pass off all the dud ones in other ways.

Thank you all for your quick reply! I was clearly looking in the wrong area. It does make me wonder how this change will effect the market board though. The main way I make money is using desythesis so I hope it doesn't bring prices down too much.

I dont think that you really need to worry about that - leveling up desynthesis is still a time and/or money consuming process and even if everyone can take everything apart now, you're chances at getting rare items from breaking stuff increase with your desynth-level. Someone with low level desynth wont have as good as a chance to get the rare stuff. For the normale items prices shouldnt drop to much either, I reckon - for once a lot of people still wont make use of desynth aswell as fabric, leather, metal etc. always being in demand. So I really wouldnt worry to much here!
The only thing that could possible take a hit are demimaterias, I guess.

From what I observed the price of demimaterias went down a lot indeed, as well as them becoming harder to sell. I remember I used to sell them right away and for lots, now they stay there for days or longer and don't earn much either.

The only thing to account for now are rare desynth items. If you had gear you know has a chance to desynth in to a valuable cloth, you would want to hang on to it until you met the desynth level requirement or you wouldn't get said cloth. You can still desynth it but you are only going to get generic items and crystals.

It's still not entirely clear to me what SE thinks "rare" means in this context.

rare would be like desynthing primal weapons (ex. shinryu/seiryu) and getting the scale out of it.

Rare also seems to refer to multiple quantities and HQ mats.

If you want to get swimsuits you still have to catch the fish.
