Why do you not use materia? Even if you're not looking to optimise, you can still get by just by capping out CP. CP materia aren't expensive on the MB and you can even get them from yellow scrip vendors. There is zero reason not to have your gear melded.
You can get more CP with Blood Bouillabaisse. It's easy to make (only lv79 recipe) and all its ingredients are obtainable by retainers.
If you want to go on the cheap use grade VI materia, the boost is similar and you have a 100% remove success rate
if your only willing to put in minimum effort expect minimum reward out of it
Sounds like you should be doing the level 60 turn-ins rather than the 80 ones
Ah, my bad n_n
I guess you're right. The OP's biggest problem is lack of materia and they should probably prioritise that. Food is a great way to maximise but its value is diminished if someone is undergeared in the first place.

So much this. I was actually updating my alt's levelling gear yesterday and managed to find some VIs going for as low as 10-15k a piece.

This is my rotation but I still can't max I need more cp
You could do the lower level items. They give less, but are made really fast in level 80 gear. 8 scrips for a highest rating level 40 craft. Reflect, one or two touches, one synthesis. The only real problem I've thought of after I've done a few thousand scrips with the level 40 item is that it's heavier on crystals. The reason I started with level 40 is that I only goldsmith and mine, and without buying materials the level 40 item is the highest level I can gather and make with just those two classes.
addition: just realized level 40 uses shards not crystals. Maybe more comparable to less crystal use?
Because I absolutely despise materia and If it was up to me it would be ripped out of the game. So a personal choice. I'm not expecting a 100% HQ rotation. Was just looking for something that would get me higher than my base understanding of what order to use the skills in would get me.
I'm doing the lvl 70 ones.
Thanks very much. I'll try this out :)
You should be easily able to get full collectability with those stats even with no food/medicine and all NQ mats. Try the following rotation.
/ac Reflect <wait.3>
/ac Manipulation <wait.2>
/ac Ingenuity <wait.2>
/ac Innovation <wait.2>
/ac "Preparatory Touch" <wait.3>
/ac "Delicate Synthesis" <wait.3>
/ac "Delicate Synthesis" <wait.3>
/ac "Delicate Synthesis" <wait.3>
/ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
/ac Ingenuity <wait.2>
/ac Innovation <wait.2>
/ac "Preparatory Touch" <wait.3>
/ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
/echo Macro #1 finished <se.1>
/ac "Byregot's Blessing" <wait.3>
/ac "Careful Synthesis" <wait.3>
/echo Craft finished <se.1>
My friend shared with me this macro for the 80 Ishgard stuff - I told them the goal was 60 durability but only needed to be over 3500 for collectibility:
/ac Reflect <wait.3>
/ac Manipulation <wait.2>
/ac Ingenuity <wait.2>
/ac "Delicate Synthesis" <wait.3>
/ac "Delicate Synthesis" <wait.3>
/ac "Delicate Synthesis" <wait.3>
/ac "Delicate Synthesis" <wait.3>
/ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
/ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
/ac Ingenuity <wait.2>
/ac "Preparatory Touch" <wait.3>
/ac "Prudent Touch" <wait.3>
/ac "Great Strides" <wait.2>
/ac "Byregot's Blessing" <wait.3>
/ac "Careful Synthesis" <wait.3>
It works fine for me;; even on one of my crafter's who doesn't have facet tools yet. Stats are 2238/2156/520, and this macro works with no food or syrup.
No reason one should not use materia it is so easy to get. Anyhow..
For macros, gears and rotations i refer to https://www.xivcraftingguide.com/505-essentials
Granted i do not believe he has rotations for lower CP, but food may boost it so you are close
Stick to recipes 10+ levels below you:
Code:/ac "Trained Eye" <wait.3>
/ac "Name of the Elements" <wait.2>
/ac "Brand of the Elements" <wait.3>
/ac "Brand of the Elements" <wait.3>
/ac "Brand of the Elements" <wait.3>
What's to explain? Materia is ridiculously annoying.
Nothing says "fun" like overmelding at a 7% success rate!
I mean, it's fair to say he should endure it if he wants to be a successful crafter, but I can definitely understand the desire to want it gone. Or, at least, overhauled.
Plus, the lower grade materia you slot, the easier it is to overmeld. I keep around 30/40-ish Grade 3 CP materia just to finish up some gear that only accepts like 1 CP anyway. If you have the time, desire, and money to overmeld with full 8s and 7s, you're probably a hardcore crafter.
