Petition for the Demi-Ozma mount to play either Eureka or BA music

Nothing is more disappointing than unlocking a mount you're excited for only to hear the standard mount music, especially when said mount comes from a piece of content with distinct music.

Does anyone else wish the Demi-Ozma mount either played the Eureka overworld music or the music that plays in the hallways of BA?

Most of the special mounts should have never played the standard mount music to begin with.

People were asking for Demi-Ozma to play “Turmoil” once players started clearing BA and found out it just played “Borderless”.

Honestly there are so many options. It almost seems nonsensical that it only plays the standard flying mount music.

actually I keep mount music turned off always, it's really annoying especially when you gather.

Then your opinion on what the music for this mount should be is largely irrelevant.

I agree with this and I do not use mount music. I find that most mounts using the same theme is really boring so I just ended up disabling mount music altogether.

Even worse is their statement on that, they just use Borderless when they cant settle for a song... like... uhm... ok? All the special mounts should have the fiting song, like the egg Papa-ya or the Ozma his song...

I already do that to play the Kugane music when I'm in Shirogane. I hate that Shiro plays the same housing music as the other wards (I also just hate the residential area BGM though, to be fair)

The standard mount music just feels like it makes the reward for getting some of the mounts less impactful

Music from FFXI's Chains of Promathia expansion from what I understand (I never did Eureka either so I don't know for sure. I just know FFXI CoP music appeared in it).

I'd like the option for mounts to come with a portable orchestrion, so you can choose your own music. Perhaps even have a pocket orchestrion (In-universe equivalent of an iPod) that you can carry with you and listen to music wherever you go.

Doubt they care, they never changed mount music, I mean even the Sephirot Bird, why does this play Phase 1 of the Triad? It should play Phase 2 like every other bird.

I wonder if it has to do with that stink that one music group pulled saying Sephirot's theme was ripping off their own music. It was disproven but no other primal mount has that issue or a controversy surrounding its music.

Personally I wish most mounts played unique themes. Still salty that the nightmare pegasus doesn't play Edda's Theme.

there are technical reasons for not every mount having its own unique music. Soken explained it one time at a live letter/fanfest but i don't remember what the explanation was.

I agree with this wholeheartedly! We need variety for our babies' music!

They have changed mount music before. A4S Gobwalker Mount was changed because it played “Borderlands” before. Same with Alte Roite from O4S. It also had generic mount music before, and was changed to Neo-Exdeath’s theme after people complained about it.

A couple other cash shop mounts were changed from “Borderless” to the music from Hulbreaker (lvl 50 dungeon version) and the PotD Floors 1-10 theme.

Still hoping for this! Would be great.

I honestly wish Borderless wouldnt play on 90% of the mounts. It's not a bad song, mind you, but it gets way too damn repetitive, and it honestly makes the mounts feel less special. Like with all of the Beast Tribe mount, the Mikoshi from Namazu Tribe the ONLY one to have a theme related to it's Beast Tribe area, and the rest either do Borderless or the old ARR mount theme?

Not even sure why they did not do this in the first place.

I did a tally a while ago and it's pretty amazing the disparity between the Heavensward mount theme and other music. Out of 170 mounts, the ARR mount theme only plays for 20 of them, the Heavensward mount theme plays for a whopping 78 mounts. There really is no reason for it to have seen continued use past Heavensward, honestly. Stormblood "generic" mounts should have had their own Stormblood theme, perhaps something with an aquatic vibe to it since HW was the "flying mount" expac and SB was the "swimming mount" expac. Shadowbringers is doubly insulting because not only did they persist in using the HW flight theme for mounts, they actually already had a perfectly good unique ShB mount theme in place with the Amaro theme that they chose to only use for one mount.

As much as I absolutely love the OST and all of its tracks, the devs have gotten a little lazy. They use the same songs for the same types of cutscenes patch after patch, mount after mount, etc. It gets tiring hearing the same music for 5+ years

Hoping to see a dev comment on this since they just changed the BGM on another mount as of 5.3 (the Pterodactyl mount)
