Any way to turn off specific combat voice?

I'm not sure when they were added but I recently noticed my character makes a specific sound in combat that stood out to me and it's been bugging me since.

I like the rest of the sounds my character makes just a specific one that sounded out of place; it seemed way higher pitch than the rest and didn't sound like it came from the same person to me.

Is there a way to turn it off without completely turning voice off?

I and a friend also wondered if we had a new combat noise our characters where making, or if we were crazy?

I am not a fan, I wonder if its a bug like when the Grandma Veira was running around?

No, it's not a bug since they announced they added more in the 5.1 patch notes. It's possible they mixed/messed up the audio choices with some of them though.
Also no, there's no way to turn them off.

The thing that sucks even more about turning off the voice setting is it turns off ALL voices in the game -.-

You can turn off voice but it will kill all cut scene voices so make sure you're not doing anything of the sort like MSQ before hand. Though it always cracks me up hearing a Veira come up and fight like you just splashed holy water on a vampire.

I quite like the addition.

What was even the purpose of adding more? As far as I was aware there was no real issue with what we had.

I've noticed my Aura boi is silent, nothing not even when hes killing stuff. Do males just not have combat voices?

Potentially dumb question; Are you playing a caster? They generally don't make any of the combat grunts, even when attacking.

on my Au Ra as well, my guy will barely make a sound if he does at all. Melee class.

Nope even when playing SAM no sound at all though he does have a 'UUEERRGHGGHHH!' when he dies XD

Definitely sounds different though

Just logged onto my Main Catgirl and it does seem that the battle voices occur less often than they used to. Other than that, no changes are noticable.

A lot of the new voice lines seem to be just low grunting which is hard to actually hear, but I assume they did it so characters didn't keep yelling all the time they do an attack.
Personally I like it because of that.

Have you tried not healing them? They can't bug ya if their HP reaches 0.

I made a thread on Patch Day about the new combat sounds—I have Miqo’te Voice 2, and I really don’t like the new additions to my character’s voice. I wish there was a way to select the old voice files as a personal setting so that those of us who do not like the new additions could choose to omit the new sounds.

I would like to be able to silence individual characters ( like any Online game where you can silence individual people at Chat Room ) i would silence any female Miqo'te in the game, her voice is annoying at fight ( nya nya nya nya nya nya nya nya nya nya nya nya nya nya nya nya .... without end ). Boring.

The one I got was especially high pitched compared to the rest of the voice line. It does this really sharp "Ya!" sound frequently.

I thought it was coming from another character until I started hitting striking dummy in by myself and can still hear them.

Edit: I been hitting targets with the only voice turned on and noticed there is a point where I get the same voice several times. I've also noticed another one that sounds off for me. I'm going to try to make a recording of them.

You have to unlist the video instead of private. Also they did add louder grunting for sure. One of my characters had it but it turned out being better than the old voice, so I was...fortunate there.

Oh, my bad. I didn't know I have to set it to unlisted. It should be viewable now.

Honestly, at least it sounds similar to the rest of the voice but it really is an awkward sound because of how high-pitched and short it is, which makes it not fit very well with the rest of them. Hmm, not good at all.

That was my thought as well. I got used to some of the other ones but this one stood out enough for me to start taking notice.

My female miquo'te doesn't make any sounds anymore. It's weird. I actually liked her melee combat noises.

The frequency in which they make noise is incredibly random. While recording the video I notice sometimes I would spend minutes without combat noise or combat noise coming one immediately one after another sometimes the same voice.
