Ways of leveling alt jobs from 70 to 80 efficiently? ?

Hi everyone,

I recently got my DRK to 72 with 99% of that time spent leveling doing roulettes, it wasn't the fastest thing in the world but I wasn't in a huge rush, but now with 5.1 around the corner I'm gonna need to hustle if I'm gonna get my DRK to 80 before Tuesday and have time to practice my rotation.

I looked up some guides, but they were all from around the release of Shb and are probably missing some info since they were released two or three days from launch, so I'm coming here in hopes someone could help me out or send me towards a older thread on the same topic to avoid clogging up the forums with duplicate posts.

As a tank the best way remains the same as it has always been. Spam run the highest level dungeon you have. At your current level the means Holmster Switch until 73, Dohn Meg until 75, etc. This will almost always be the most efficient way to level a tank or healer as Trusts while an instant queue tend to take awhile. Where as you can usually get a fast run in DF with a near insta queue. It usually takes about 3 or so runs a level.

Roulettes, challenge log, and fates. Fates can even net yo 1mil worth of exp if you have the fate buff while doing a bonus fate. Only other thing is to do the dungeon that is the highest level you can reach.

Daily roulettes and weekly challenge log. And if you're not bothered with boredom, you can always do dungeons with Trusts, as a tank all you need to do is pull the mobs, use a few AoEs for aggro and you can effectively afk till the NPCs kill them.

Rolettes for Daily Bonus then DUNGEONS after, select the highest Lv Dungeon for your Job and farm it ( don't go for end-game Lv50/60/70 Dungeons, the EXP in there isn't high ).

Fates aren't a big deal at all, each Dungeon wave gives you more EXP than Fates and it's faster to clear, Fates take many time to clear, you must keep running around all Map to reach it, you must wait until the next spawn and gives less EXP to you.

Lv70: go to Castrum Abania until Lv71.
Lv71: go to Holminster Switch until Lv73.
Lv73: go to Dohn Mheg until Lv75.
Lv75: go to The Qitana Ravel until Lv77.
Lv77: go to Malikah's Well until Lv79.
Lv79: go to Mt. Gulg until Lv80.

I completely agree with the person above, though I wanted to add...

I see people saying "do roulettes," so I wanted to point out that doing the lv50/60/70 roueltte gives less exp than just doing the most level-appropriate dungeon (or at least, I think it was the last time I checked; please correct me if I'm wrong). Skip it.

I usually just stick to the leveling roulette. I'm not sure which other roulettes are worth the time.

And if you don't care about being efficient (because my suggestion definitely takes a longer) and if you like and plan to use the Trust system, you can do the above to level your Trust NPC's as well.

Yup, Lv50/60/70 Rolette don't give better EXP than your Highest Dungeon available, because like i said End-Game Dungeons isn't worth for EXP points and that Rolette is made of those Dungeons only, Adds and bosses EXP in there is a joke, said that all Rolettes except that one is worth :D

just do the highest level dungeon you could do...
combine them with food, squadron buff, and ask your fc officer to activate the battle exp buffs...

I believe dr alliance raid give decent amount of exp as well
with the current event of moogle tomes you'll have ridiculously high chance to get Crystal Tower series which is the easier and the faster of all other raids (and it also gives clusters if you lucky to get those adventurer in needs)

I level my alt jobs simple and relaxed with Main ro and Alliance ro. Those two roulettes alone almost guarantee a full level. And after I've done those, I'm running dungeons with my Trusts. Might be faster to run with a random party, but I don't mind taking my time. Also allows me to learn my alt jobs in peace.

After you've done with all the Routlettes the Clan Nutsy hunts will net you a few extra mil exp per day.

10 days of MSQ roulette per job is how I do it. I ran dungeons, but i have all the sets I want now so I dont bother anymore

If you're talking about the Squadron Battle Manual, it does not stack with FC buff.

Since you're a 72 DRK ... something to point out is that once it's Tuesday and you've cleared Il Mheg, the Pixie Beast Tribe quests will be available. If they're like HW and SB beast tribes, they'll give *very* good XP for the time invested; but you'll only be able to do a few daily.

This is what I did for a lot of jobs I wasn’t comfortable at first taking into duty finder, after running some runs with trusts I actually got more comfortable with them and took a few into roulettes with friends and did a mix of still doing trust runs, got all of my jobs to 80 and all trusts to 80 too!
