It would be nice to have an Auto-Skip option for cutscenes like the chocobo exiting town, riding the elevator and airship leaving and entering town cutscenes. There might be others like that but i don't know them.

Can't +1 enough, at the very least make it so we don't have to 'small talk' to every cutscene in order to decide not to watch it. A simple ESC option would be enough.
Uh, we already have a perfectly good-working skip option...
For people with lag it's a horrible option. Why not just make it the ESC button? Why do I have to tap ESC twice, then arrow up to the 'Yes' option, and enter? :I With lag it means sometimes ~5-10 seconds of just sitting there waiting for the client to realize that I want to arrow up to the 'Yes' option.
It really is a huge pain in the ass when you're doing 10-20 runs a day and you get a cutscene for entering and every boss. Also, the airship.
I use a gamepad to play and I have to hit cancel twice, then up then accept, so the same 4 presses. I believe I have worn out my thumbs out to the brink of arthritis over this issue. I think I am gonna sue for damages!
Sheesh! :D
How about we have it so either TWO escapes in a row, or an Escape and an Enter press skips the cutscene? It's faster than the version in now, but there's no chance of accidentally doing it for first time players of a CS? I think that's pretty fair. Not much finger movement involved to skip, but still a very safe system.
Or! A "Re-watch cutscenes" option you can toggle on or off. :)
Sorry, i just don't see the point in having to skip a CS of me going on the elevator or leaving a town on a chocobo or the same CS in raids and primal fights, why can't i have some sort of option to not see it at all.
The skip option is alright as it is....there's not much else going on ingame anyway. Agree that the auto option should be Yes instead of No...same as leaving Airship landing, too stupid to be defaulted as No when there is no point, even more important in dungeons!!!
There will be lag anyway since ur engine needs to map the landscape upon leaving the city but its not that bad IMO, if anything I'd request Chocobo to exit city to nearest camp (Bentbranch etc) since there is nothing in between...
