thanks for the warning, Noob hunters can be annoying and disheartening
Heckin top kek
Preformed groups wouldn't be so much of a problem if alliances weren't weighed down with people that have no interest in improving, using common sense, or listening to the players that do know what's going on. Of course you aren't going to have an easy time when half the party just wants to get wolf marks/garo rewards without bothering to put much effort into PvP.
Is this a real post? Complaining about preformed groups PvPing in the PvP mode? Hello?
What's the purpose of this, to get people to stop queuing?

I find a bit curious that they tried to prevent premades for Feast training matches by limiting the number of people you can queue with to two, but they have no such restriction for frontlines.
Cool thanks for the warning

I mean really...this is what's wrong with the FFXIV community. Literally NO competitive spirit.
You're getting your ass kicked? Get good, make some friends and get good together, now you have yourself a group of friends to do FL with.
PvP is actually pretty good in FFXIV - the community and its lack of competitive spirit, as shown time and time again here, is the biggest issue and I blame SE for this. They are constantly trying to dumb things down in PvE and PvP so that people won't get their feelings hurt.
How would you even be able to tell who queues for Frontline roulette specifically to target anyway? That makes no sense. There's no way to tell and you're just as likely to run into another pre-made assuming they're queuing up at around the same time.
Unless the other pre-made turns tail and runs, which does happen.
My main question is if you're not having a fun time, then why don't you ask them if they have room?
You act like the veteran PvP players enjoy roflstomping noobs just because they are noobs. That's not the case. It's actually quite fun to play with friends in FL because of the funny stuff that happens. Maybe they are working towards their ADS mounts? You don't know their intentions, so don't assume the worst. We're not as toxic as most of the fan base has been led to believe.
Next time this happens, maybe try asking them if they have room. It's highly unlikely that they would tell you no just for being new. You might even make some new friends and could possibly even learn to be better at PvP(If that's something you are interested in).
premade or not, that's how the gamemode is suppose to be played. Get points thru killing and getting the objectives, and nobody can "farm your wolf marks" you get marks even if you win or lose, Simply get better smh.
Heya, Im the leader of this premade that runs in the morning <3 just for comedy sake dropping by :P I just wanted to say that we do have room <3 and if youre interested in joining us just message me Naughty Nurse @Leviathan!
I know it may come as a surprise to everyone but did you guys know that the best way to win pvp is to actually pvp, thats literally the gamemode. If you want to pvm on nodes feel free to queue through the duty finder on literally any other piece of content outside the PVP (it means player vs player btw) tab
NGL I know the joke is a post, but there is a certain euphoria of a premade of 4-5 people cleaning up shop and being the backbone for the rest of the group especially when put on Flames.
Recently did a run of 5 premade GNB's, 2 rando GNBs, and one WHM and it was some of the most fun I had a for a while passing aurora around like a disease.
The irony being that posts like these are the culprit of negativity in the community and not those who provide resources for individuals to mitigate "being farmed" due to lack of knowledge or practice. But hey, it's the fault of those who actively play and not those who actively complain.
Had this group about half an hour ago myself. The way they work, they all focus target the same player, and all of them attack that player at the same time. You cannot heal through that, you cannot tank through that. They then get that annoying 20/40% damage boost due to High and Fever, making it impossible to kill one of them without your group melting. Just shows that they need to nerf High/Fever badly, they shouldn't last until death if they're going to be that advantageous.
Heya RyuDragnier we have a spot open if youre interested :3
It's already been proven that all of the 'toxicity' in the PvP community actually comes from all of the new people being toxic to each other. The last few seasons proved it because we had a surge of new players coming in. You know who was the most toxic with the DMs and the pings? It was the new people. I even had some rando after a ranked match tell me to 'have fun permanently being in low silver, because there's no way I would get better.' Meanwhile I promoted to gold the next match, and I've been top 100 multiple times, consistently at least get plat for each season. It comes from general ignorant practices of SE.
We now play in a game where 'Unadvertised constructive criticism' is considered toxic.(Both in PvE and PvP modes). SE has only fostered these kinds of players that can't take being told that what they are doing wrong only to improve. Hence the "You don't pay my sub" attitude. This is simply now a fact of playing in this game with this community. There are PvP discords created/operated solely with the purpose of helping new players who want to learn to be better and excel. We even have mentors for every role/class for technical questions. But it's up to the new people who are complaining to actually take the initiative to join, learn and TAKE constructive criticism.
I'm not saying we DON'T have toxic people and the problems they bring with them, but for the majority of the community, we all just wanna have a good time.
I love it when people complain they need to do things with other people in an MMO...
Or better yet, complain when other people dare to play with other people in an MMO...
Nahh, I'm good, I was here for the one daily Frontline, I already spammed it quite a bit at the beginning of the month for the majority of the Garo gear (and the mounts).
Oh we did that too after about 2 minutes, but they had already gotten Battle High/Fever and so we couldn't kill them faster than they could kill us.
Meh, happens to a disadvantage too. I play on the JP data center and we have a group that does this. They usually end up on the losing team because they’re too busy farming early points on “n00bs” then camping a certain area while the rest of the team is crushed by the combined might of the other two factions in late game when they had a lead (so each death nets more points for the other 2 teams).
I'm just... super casual in PVP. I guess? Not saying no to 40 free tomes per day, that's what I mean. And I enjoy do Feast and Frontlines sometimes as break between PvE stuff, to the point I helped my roommate recently to get the wins she needed for Garo ponies.
Yeah, getting steamrolled by more or less obvious premade is mildly annoying, but if I wanted to, nothing is stopping me to do the same; getting some friends together, everybody on vc and go.
I seriously find people who do not give a damn even more annoying. They might be new, they might be like me in sense that they're there just to collect their tomes and wolfmarks. But I do not throw games. I do not play many PvP games to begin with, so I see my playstyle to be on defensive/boring(!!?) side. Still, I find myself making reasonable suggestions to deaf ears all the time. "Hey, maybe we should try to attack enemy base now?" "Maybe we should not make ourselves sitting ducks by huddling by this single tomelith we have, and sneak to that occupied by the other guys?" "Maaaaybe we should not do this slowly losing brawling with other idiots while the third team racks the objective points out there by themselves unhinderd...?"
Used to PvP as Healer more, recently I've been Tank. It's... just juicy to try be ok-decent support, be ready to stun, knock back, silence, cover, whatever, while dishing some additional pain. And it looks like the whole party is on for it For Once - until they all get cold feet and tiptoe back to base (which is not even under attck), leaving myself and maybe one random gutsy healer there to be murdered.
The worst thing about Frontlines, is that people are too cowardly there. Too often your team could easily hold a node, but you get them running away instead.
Oh, and as soon as there's a chance an enemy might be a premade, they all give up prematurely. "Well we can't win, there's a premade" and then they just about afk.
Ever thought of targeting the premade healers and killing them? Maybe save LB, and then LB spam their healers? Then working on killing the rest of the team when the healer goes down? Nope, far too hard, apparently.
I honestly have more issues with my team overextending and pushing hard right before nodes/ice are ready to spawn or attempting to hold the main base for one of the opposing teams (Which simply does not work due to their mercy invuln giving them an advantage when they respawn and come back for it).
They basically threw the last game I was in by wiping twice from trying/failing to do the latter. The smart play is to overwhelm them, grab the base, then get the heck out before they abuse their invincibility to revenge kill you. No amount of battle high will save you from a team that you can't damage.
But yeah if anyone on primal dc is interested I run my premade at 8 am pst right at reset just let me know if you want to join :3 @Naughty Nurse @Leviathan
Figured. Looks like for the most part the issue is that folks want things for free instead of having to put in some kind of effort. Even if that "effort" is to join this godlike premade group they're complaining about that apparently gets free wins.
Typical and very saddening indeed.
Yeah most of the time my premade is at least 7/8 :< but we are trying to be nice and let everyone in even though theyre not that great :3 so with that being said dont say "i suck" and not expect an invite when im a man down for a full premade :3 i promise you that you will improve :3
