The next Ultimate...?

Any ideas what it'll be? Since we got no teaser yet we can only guess...

My bets are on either Alexander, Warring Triad or maybe Mhach.

Hmm, if i had to guess it'd be the cancelled third ultimate fight they had planned in SB. Personal ideas are perhaps the Garlean Generals, the Warring Triad, or Gilgamesh/Ultros/Typhon.

Probably Nidohogg or Alexander

I'm betting knights of the round.

They had originally wanted to make thorden ex even longer but realized that would be too much for an EX. With an ultimate fight, they could do whatever they wanted

I'm expecting Thordan for the first ultimate and Alexander (With guest appearances from some of the mechanical bosses in the prior fights) for the second.

Warring Triad + Kefka would be great, but I don't know if they would mix expansions like that.

Then again im sure the RMT got tired of selling the same 2 fights.

I’m guessing Alexander. It would fall in line with UCoB, since Coil was the ARR raid and Alex was the HW raid. Likewise, I see the second ShB Ultimate as probably Warring Triad (Ultima + Garuda/Ifrit/Titan were ARR primals; Warring Triad were HW primals). Thordan + Nidhogg would be cool—but Thordan EX was already a spectacle in and of itself. Not sure if they’d go that route or not, and I’d really like to see the return of the Warring Triad. Of course, they could always do 3 Ultimates so we can have all three~.

You do realize not everyone cares about housing, yes? I find it rather ironic you're demanding one piece of niche content be scrapped to fix another. That being said, Ultimate requires very little resources because it's all reused content. It also gains FFXIV a massive following on Twitch which is very good PR. So... get used to Ultimate. It isn't going anywhere. :)

So 1 fight every 6 months is wasted resources? We would have 1 savage tier with 4 bosses to grind for 6 months if this was not a thing, compared to other MMOs ffxiv doesn't have that much content for raiders anyway.

I bet on Alexander or Thordan (with the ascien prime before) regarding the triad, I think it's too soon because it is linked to kefka and we just kill him a few patch ago. Better save it for a glorious return during the 6.x serie

It wont be alexander.Nidhog and thordan came before that.Both are iconic fights and were known for the difficulties people had doing the ex versions.
If they are still covering ARR content for ultimates though i hope we get mog king ultimate XD

Imagine every moogle a 5 min fight xD

Ultimate Red Chocobo Battle where 24 red chocobos vs 8 players. Or maybe a ultimate dungeon where there is nothing but different colored chocobos in it.

Garuda, Ifrit, Titan, and Ultima Weapon came before Twintania, Nael, and Bahamut, technically. But UCoB was still the first Ultimate fight, with UwU being the second. Thordan and Nidhogg coming before the Alexander doesn’t mean that they’ll make the first one Thordan and his Knights + Nidhogg. They’d have to work extra hard to make a Thordan Ultimate not just a harder difficulty carbon copy of the Ex, because the latter was already an amazing spectacle in and of itself.

It will likely be Alexander. Although, it is worth noting the person they assigned this Ultimate encounter to was asked in the past what fight he'd like to re-imagine. And he specifically said The Warring Triad.

What about King Mog Ultimate?
