What Dungeons do you wish to return too

Are there any Dungeons within the world you wish to return to?
(Hard) (Savage) or even one from 1.0

Personally for me it would be:

The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak -
I wanna know (and fight) the beast it's named after..

Dzermael Darkhold -

I wanna find out what happened to the place once we cleared out the voidsent. Apparently there was a portal to the void but I don't recall actually closing it. Just defeating a big voidsent.

Aurum Vale - just because having the joke "Aurum Vale Hard when?" Come true would be fun. Also a morbol mount drop would be nice.

They do not have the assets to make hard mode versions of dungeons that were carried over from 1.0.
This is why you will never see hard modes of Toto-Rak, Cutter's Cry, Dzmael Darkhold, and Aurum Vale.

If we go by expansions:
Heavensward:
Dusk Vigil: Would love to see a Hard Mode version of it, possibly being taken over by an ice elemental maybe even Louhi from Eureka?

Neverreap: An actual hard mode version that isn't just bleh as a whole. Really the only take aways I had from it were extremely easy bosses and tornado shenanigans. Love the music and think it could be remixed into something awesome.

Stormblood:
Bardam's Mettle: I can see it take place during a thunder storm or something with the land being razed by lightning strikes. The animals fleeing and maybe having a type of stampede as a hazard. Even harder version of the 2nd boss that has more variations.

Castrum Abania: I mentioned this is an old Gyr Abania dungeon post I made but I'd like to see this be like Hullkeeper Hard Mode but with the resistance instead inspecting the facility or as a research area for new weapons. You could also have them look at the Garlean experiments and have them either wander around or come to life like in Fractal Conti.

Temple of the Fist: Have it be like a training ground for aspiring monks since we've already tested ourselves worthy of fighting Ivon. I'd like to fight some of the NPCs and maybe even going up against Widargelt and the two Miqo's he has with him as the final boss.

The Drowned City of Skalla: I could see the city be emulated to be like how it once was through ancient magicks. Like a bustling city filled with it's residents and maybe even seeing a Hrodric before he turned into a monster.

I'm much more a person who would rather see Gyr Abanian areas get Hard Mode versions first, as the entire place got completely shafted in the long haul between trials and dungeons past Skalla and Ghimlyt. Would love to see the actual culture shine through since I think it would be insanely cool.

Let's go back to the Aery and see who's in charge now that Nidhogg's gone.

Antitower, Doma Castle, and Mt. Gulg would be nice.

For the second, something based on Cyan's dreamscape ending with a fight with Wrexsoul. For the last, something that uses the original theme.

Those would be neat. The Antitower had corridors we couldn't explore. And I imagine a hostile faction like the Red Kojin might have taken over the castle. Due to it being flooded and all.

To expand on that, the 1.0 dungeons weren’t made with the new system in mind so for them to make hard mode versions, they would have to make them from the ground up like a brand new dungeon and they have no desire to have a third iteration of the oldest dungeons.

If I could see a hard mode of an existing dungeon, it would be Shisui since underwater towns are my jam.

Amaurot before it was already blown to smithereens. As in engaging some of the beasts before the Armageddon that happened in the streets or so.

Qitana Revel when it was in its prime and not the den of sin easters and ancient traps we got. (I'd settle for more Ronkan Empire theme'd dungeons as well)

Sohr Khai to aid in building relations with some dravanians(Like controlled sparring matches and the like akin to hullbreaker hard)

Antitower because I feel like there is still more to that dungeon than we got to see.

Skalla to further unveil the atrocities and forbidden means the King of Terror unleashed upon his people OR as listed above, the city back in its former glory.

Just read about the 1.0 dungeons I mentioned. Rip AV hard.

Hmmm exploring more of the Vault would be neat I suppose. Especially that garden!

Definitely the Vault. It's always been one of my favorite dungeons. With the Ishgard Restoration project coming up, It'd be cool to return to it. Maybe we'll need to cleanse the Vault from spirits of the previously slain knights that inhabit and haunt the Vault after Thordan's Defeat before we can make it a liveable area?

Keeper of the lake hard mode were the dravainians who followed niddhog have taken it over and you see garlean skeletons laying around and the main boss is the new leader of the dragons who followed niddhog, azdajah one of the two children of midgardsomner we haven't seen.

Temple of the Fist, where we somehow fight that giant Rhalgr statue come to life.

For a more serious suggestion - I'd love for them to do like the Twinning, and turn some old raids into dungeons. The Coils in particular, as a lot of people never really experienced them.
I almost *expect* them to do this for the World of Darkness, with all the references to the Thirteenth we've been getting lately.

Not quite a 'return', but it would be interesting if we got access to Dawn Vigil and return to Coerthas. I always wondered about that place.

It would be nice to take some character photos in the Vaults garden... Kinda like the Ala Mhigan palace garden

Given that the Cloud of Darkness has a Cloud of Light form in Dissidia (which is also alluded to in Final Fantasy III), I'd love to see a light version of WoD on The First.

Snowcloak (Hard). Where every mob is an Aevis, because let's be real, these mobs have the potential to be strongest, most annoying mobs in the game with their highly potent Strident Scream AOE.

I'd like to see Praetorium (Hard), as a 4-man. There's an entire laboratory of mad science down below that was likely not destroyed when Ultima went off, so it's not out of the realm of possibilities for us to go back and fight some crazy rampaging Garlean monstrosity.

I'd like see a Bardam's Mettle (Hard) where we delve deeper in the ruins in the latter third of the dungeon.

We really don't know much about the history of the Xaela, so getting more insight into the age where they were a united people would be interesting.

They also dropped that little bit in the second lorebook about cults strangely reminiscent of the Lambs of Dalamud starting show up amid them that could serve as a reason to delve into that place, because we don't need a bunch of voidsent-summoning loonies over in Othard as well.

I want to see that Malikah's Well becomes the next Deep Dungeon.

Mostly, just to explore the area but....

Dhamzael Darkhold, weeping city, dun scaith, Scalla, the Ivalice Raids, Malak's well, ampadour, the gobul library, et cetera

It would be great to have more explorable areas and exploration content (eureka and diadem are not exploration content by design, but, like big monster closets/rooms)

there arent really any dungeons i want to revisit from here that dosent already have a hard mode maybe snowcloak but after getting it every time i run 50/60/70 roulette i would love to never see that dungeon again

Dusk vigil i always liked the theme of it being a fortress that got frozen over so all the knights inside either froze to death or died from starvation i would love to see abit darker version of it

Neverreap the dungeon is bad but it has good music and looks cool so i would love to see it done better

Saint mocciane i hate saint mocciane hard since it took my favorite part of normal mode (the colors and the theme of a botanical garden) and just ruined it by turning everything brown so i would love to see something wth the glowing plants

Antitower i would love to see a dungeon where it is either upside down or where they go even more crazy ith the walls and floors where we walk across the walls and ceiling and make it really mind bending

sirensong sea it was my favorite dungeon in 4.0 base expansion and i really like the theme of ship graveyard i would love to see them make more spooky dungeons

bardams mettle but where instead of going down into some ruins we instead climb the mountain and fight a cool boss on top of the snowy peak (back when the four lord was the current trials i thought there was gonna be a genbu trial on the mountain)

Drowned city the dungeon has such a different aesthetic compared to other dungeons it would be so cool seing more of the city with salt crystals everywhere

the burn now that aether is flowing freely there again it would be cool seing how it is changing

mount gulg have a hard mode where we explore the inside of the volcane nd the music is a remix of the original mount gulg theme from ff1

Keeper of the Lake (Hard). Somebody finally realizes that Midgardsormr's eyes are still sitting there in his original body and we have to go do something about it. Meanwhile, they're leaking aether and reacting with the wreckage of the Agrius, creating mutated magitek horrors.

I really like those 3 ideas. I don't know if I'd be able to handle an anti-gravity Antitower, but it would be very cool to try :)

I know that I might well be almost alone in this wish, but I would love to be able to simply explore every dungeon in the game, stopping to look at everything that calls my attention, read tablets and notes, run around to get a proper idea of the design, delve into the landscape or structure, admire the arquitecture, enjoy the music. Something that I have only been able to do with trusts (a little bit with squadrons but I am not good at handling them, so I can't take them to many places). Basically I wish we had the side option to run every single dungeon in the game with trusts as reliable as our ShB ones so I could truly have the time to look around calmly and be aware of the environments, which in 99% of the cases, I love.

I like a lot of these. Some I'd like to see revisited would be (excluding ARR dungeons):

• The Great Gubal Library. Set on the First maybe? I know there's already a hard version of it, but I like libraries and their aesthetics, so maybe it could be a pseudo-"extreme" version of it.
• Shisui of the Violet Tides. (From?) Deeper below the ocean maybe, or under the castle?
• The Burn, as others have mentioned.
• The Sirensong Sea, as others have mentioned.
• The Drowned City of Skalla. Qitana Ravel (hard) or Malikah's Well (hard) could be a nice substitute for this. (Edit: I guess the Eden raids could have strengthened e.g. the earth,water, etc. aspected enemies in Qitana Ravel and Malikah's Well)
• Dohn Mheg. Collaboration between all the fae tribes and Feo Ul, to help strengthen and train her lovely sapling? Maybe a boss could be a giant porxie?

If we can suggest from the 24-man raids, then I'd like to revisit some of the surrounding areas of them as a dungeon, like an area of the Weeping City of Mhach as a dungeon. Maybe something new has surfaced from an expedition? More lore about the interactions between Mhach, Amdapor, and Nym?
