To Dear DEVELOPER : 5.1 [SAM]

1.Please allow Kaeshi Higanbana DOT to stack with normal Higanbana DOT

and reduce Tsubame-gaeshi Recast Time to 30 seconds. So we can use both Kaeshi Higanbana and Kaeshi Setsugekka

Right now, with the 60 seconds shared recast time , can't stack with normal higanbana, Kaeshi Higanbana is useless/forgotten skill.

Whether Shoha got fixed in 5.1 or not Kaeshi Higanbana need to get a fix.

2.Hagakure need to offer some form of damage boost/buff to compensated for a dps loss from minimal kenki it provide.

3.Also the forgotten Seiken need to change as well. At the moment it does not even worth putting in the hotbar.

As a Samurai main since the beginning of 4.0 I actually disagree with all these ideas.

1. I believe that Kaeshi Higanbana being stackable with regular Higanbana would just add unnecessary clunk to the rotation and may force Square to nerf other potencies to accommodate such a change.

2. Old Hagakure while nice would conflict with the new rotation that the developers are trying to create for Samurai and wouldn't fix the current flexibility issues that the job suffers from. Most rotations at 2.13 and 2.06 only need to fill in a single GCD or 2 GCDs to loop their rotation which they use the new Hagakure to achieve. The Developers should ultimately aim to have the new Shoha fill that 1-2 GCD gap in the rotation.

3. Seigan is worth using, although most players don't due to the short duration timer. Part of the reward is using it under the short timing similar to a parry. (Increase the potency a small amount and increase the healing potency on Merciful Eyes and make it an AOE heal for the party use duration increased to 30 seconds for both.)

Then how are you going to fix it? Also does SAM need a nerf?

Honestly I would rather they not fix Kaeshi Higanbana as I believe it would then detract from Kaeshi Goken and Midare. As for whether Samurai needs a nerf absolutely not. As it stands I believe the Developers have an issue. The content current out is based on current job output and if they buff Samurai any further without taking away from some place else they would risk "Power Creeping" their own content. The Developers need to make a decision as to how they want to move forward when it comes to Utility tax because having Jobs with high utility also being the highest damage just doesn't make for a healthy meta. (Prove that the meta is unbalanced and unhealthy there are alot more people complaining about it.)

As poor excuse as it seem there isn't going to be anything to stop people to say that SAM now have healing ultility and our dps need to stay lower.

Leaving KH as a useless skill isn't the right solution.

Haha not at all Monk brings Mantra which is immensely better. For the most part people saying that Samurai DPS needs to be lower are either trolls or uneducated.

I mean the skill "Tsubame Gaeshi" isn't useless. I just think that if fixing the Higanbana portion of the skill detracts from the obviously better portion of the skill then it's no good.

So, make a skill in our toolkit deliberately worthless in every way to make another skill useful? I can't see that as good design.

Honestly, if that's the reasoning (and I agree with not adding clunk to our clunky rotation, particularly since they plan to force Shoha use in 5.1), they should delete Kaeshi: Higanbana entirely, so newer players aren't fooled into trying to apply it to secondary targets or something thinking it'd be a dps gain (it's not).

I personally think Kaeshi Bana stacking is bad as it would mess with the rotation, but my brother had an idea I feel might work for it because it does need to be relevant as a skill.

He suggested making it spread Higanbana as an AOE, so if you're in big pull situations where stuff will be alive for a bit, using that would be optimal over Kaeshi Goken. Seemed like a reasonable way to make the move have value.
