Petition to have classes equip it's own job gear.

I see no reason why not. Pug needs the same stats as Mnk. So why do i need to carry MNK AF around AND PUG gear around.

I have 3 DoW classes capped with full AF and if SE is gonna keep classes around and keep them useful i want them to have gear on me. So now i have to carry two sets of gear for one class/job when AF is fine for all the classes and its jobs? I think thats a little siily no?

A little Shorter version: Let classes wear it's job gear. Ex. MRD can equip everything WAR can and vice versa. Same for all other classes and its own jobs. I am not saying let ARC equip BLM gear. Whatever job comes from that class gear should be equippable with its own class and job.

This would then negate it being a benefit/reward for being that job.

Not to mention being confusing once additional jobs are released. The system is fine the way it is.

they plan on having gear mannequins that will take the gear out of you inv. they have given us 200 inv instead of the 100-125 we will have after 2.0 so that is their temporary fix for the issue already in place.

I have on me all my af, one set for DD, one set for Tanking (enmity and hp), one for mage, the accesories and a few random equips i like. With foods and a few other things i'm at 150/200.

We have tons of inventory space now as it is. It's really not a problem. I have the af sets for all my jobs (except gld/pld), one set of gathering gear. Tools for all my crafts plus 2 sets of crafting gear, and 2 weapons per DoW and DoM, jewlery for all the classes, mats for arrows as well as arrows, and throwing weapons, flys, lures, random foods like 8 stacks ish random consumables, tons of catalysts, and all grades of Dark Matter including several stacks of Grade 5.

There is also random weaving materials I carry around. AND I still have plenty of inventory space (40 spots at the least) to farm with. Could even put items in my retainers and have more space.

Space is not an issue at all. When they remove your massive inventory, they will give you manequin's or something of the nature to store all your gear and such making it less of a burden.

Since all my classes are at 50, I just use jobs all the time. Not to mention I just carry the gear for classes/jobs I'm actually going to use. I have no intention of regularly playing either mage or Dragoon so I stashed that gear on my retainer. If I need to use it I'll go grab it, which won't be often if ever.

I've got every event item that's been released and along with everything else I'm sitting at about 250/500 total inventory.

Guys the 200 spaces are not forever. we will go back down to 100. thats been stated.

However who said the mannequins will take the gear out of the inventory? i never heard that if true then thats pretty hot! I will take that lol.

This was a problem in XI, but with even 100 spots in your inventory the fact that Anima allows us to easily port to our retainers and back i'm never carrying more than two sets of gear at any time. It is just seconds in this game to hop back to town to switch out gear sets if you find yourself needing to, unlike in XI where going back to your moghouse to swap and store items could easily be a half hour adventure in and of itself

Nope, I carry 7 sets of gear, 1 per job. I leave the class shit at home.

i carry 9 sets of gear(1 for each comat 1 gather 1 crafting) and a tool for every job
and i carry my crafting mats
and i still got 100 slots free usualy

Same, it's really not that hard. People just need to learn to periodically clean out their inventory of junk they're never going to use.

Pick 1 or 2 class/jobs you really want to do.

Just because you have the option to be every class doesn't mean you should do so all the time.

This is stated plainly in the 2.0 PDF files.

Job Specifc Gear is designed to emphasis the basic function of a Job DD Job Gear makes you hit harder, Tank Job Gear makes you live longer.

Class gear is designed to Balance out your Personal Stats so you can both Kill fast enough and Survive long enough to Solo.

In addition they're going to release class specific gear that jobs won't be able to wear to help further define the difference of roles between classes and jobs.

Oh it's great!~ They are going to lower inventory space!

Just clean your inventory.
Just use specific equip for classes you play most, use universal equip for the other classes (favors all classes or DoW/DoM).
Sell the items you don't need

Example: You would play a CNJ in a party more as WHM with AF. Solo you need class gear with magic damage boost. If you use now THM gear for CNJ it would be 1 gear set less you need.

No, jobs are the future, classes and jobs need to have more differences, not less.

Seems like they failed at making a proper system. I would of gave each Class 2 Jobs and not limit it by equipment. Jobs only let players access new abilities for that Job and let you borrow some more other classes & your main class.

I carry 7 jobs equip, multiple accessories for each one of them , some even have difference equips for different situation (magic accuracy gear, full magic attack gear, hp+ gear for THM/BLM), and crafting/gathering gears, also commonly used crafting mats (cobalt ingots, undyed felts, etc), 3 grades of dark matter and 6 catalysts.

Not complaining here, would i want more space? sure, but it is manageable at this point.
