FFXIV Buzzing noise
When I play this game using the laptop soundboard with a headset connected to the audio jack I hear from the speakers a buzzing noise. I also try it with only the speakers and turning off the sound from the game and also happens the same buzzing noise. This noise gets louder if I uncap the fps, in other words, it scales with the fps.
This only happens in this game.
Can someone help with this, I search on Reddit, these forums and try different solutions and none worked, already reinstalled the drivers.

Hello, I notice this issue on the day that I posted it on the forums. I brought the game on the 9th of August since then until the day that I notice it there were no updates or changes made to the PC.

You mentioned you reinstalled your drivers, which ones did you reinstall? You may also have some other sound drivers on your PC (such as Nvidia Audio drivers or Realtek Audio). Did you update or reinstall these as well?
To clarify, this only happen when the head phones are plugged in and the sound comes through the speakers and not the headphones, correct?
I'd also suggest trying a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

So I reinstall both of them, I try with only Realtek Audio and the noise was still there, also try with an older version stills makes the noise. With the clean boot does not remove the noise.
I have an external soundboard, that I'm using until the problem its resolved, I try the following with the sound in-game muted and external soundboard disconnected:
- Sound through the speakers = noise;
- Sound through the headset connected to the audio jack = noise;
With the external soundboard connected and in-game sound muted:
- Sound through the speakers = noise;
- Sound through the headset connected to the audio jack = noise;
- Sound through the external soundboard = no noise;
The issue looks like it's between RealteK UAD (Universal Audio Driver) and the game.

Please check to make sure that the sound system being used is grounded properly. You may also want to try unplugging and re-plugging back in the sound device. Is the sound card separate from the graphics card or is the sound card tied to it?

How do I do it on a laptop? Since it is a chip connected to the board.

I'm also having the problem and I think it's connected to the graphics quality.
1. Launch FF14
2. On the login screen, observe that the title screen does not have the buzzing sound.
3 Go to the char select screen, observe that the char select screen does not have the buzzing sound.
4. Once the user has logged in to the game, observe that the buzzing sound is present.
5. Mute master volume.
6. Go to System Configuration and choose Graphic Settings "Standard(Desktop)", observe that the buzzing sound has stopped.
7. Go to System Configuration and choose Graphic Settings "Maximum", observe that the buzzing sound is at its loudest.
8. Go back to "Standard(Desktop")
9. Proceed to raise each Graphic Settings to maximum, observe that the buzzing noise gets louder as more settings are raised to max.
I'm also only seeing this occur on FFXIV so far as well, with a GTX 1660 and Realtek Audio Drivers.
@BlazeShark Try choosing Graphic Settings "Standard(Desktop)" and see if the buzzing noise stopped.
@Mod: Maybe this is a legitimate bug?
EDIT: Turns out my issue is EMI. My front panel wires is picking the EMI from my GPU, resulting in the buzzing noise.

Do you only experience the buzzing noise with Final Fantasy XIV. BlazeShark, is the buzzing noise heard when you are doing things such as playing a video or listening to music? Just to clarify, is the sound heard on both the laptop speakers and the headphones?
Payotz, it could be hardware issue, but if they believe its a bug, they would need to submit a bug report.

It's only on the Final Fantasy XIV. There is no noise during other's activities. The noise's only on the speakers. If it's a possible bug I'll submit a bug report.
