I'm curious about the effective of Slow

How much +20% Slow from arm's lengh can slow monster's attack down?

Does it mean normally if monster could hit you 10 times before dying, +20% Slow would make them only capable to attacks you 8 times instead?

*It would be glad if any one could provide the info of how xx% of slow can affect monster. Does 20% from Arm's Lengh much more superior than Shadow Flare?*

Yeah, it basically slows them down by 20%. It's rather effective, at least on monsters that it works on.

It's god like on larger trash pulls.

Just like when monsters hit you with a slow it greatly extends the GCD resulting in fewer attacks. Which makes Arms Length great for big pulls because it means the damage intake slows down by a lot.

Go and take slow, now you going to see the hell that the enemies suffer. You can take a full spoon of floasted kellogs cereal with almond milk in a red bowl before your next atack.

1. I don't know where can I have a taste of slow debuff.

2. I don't know if slow would affect monster as much as it affect player.

3.* Also I don't know if the slow debuff that monster inflict to me would be the same +20% from arm's lengh or not*

Slow is literally the reason that pre SHB on huge pulls a SCH would use Shadowflare rather than Sacred Soil, because Slow is just such good mitigation. RIP Shadowflare.

this is so oddly specific

20% Slow for... 15 seconds (?If I'm remembering correctly) is really strong and makes Arm's Length a very strong Defensive CD for Tanks in pulls. The sad thing is that I rarely ever see Tanks use. I was praised once by a DRG for using it because he also rarely sees Tanks use it.

It doesn't effect any Boss though, or any that actually matter.

1. Trash packs in Holminster after 1st boss. I hate that part with passion and thank god I have all tanks 80 so I don't have to go there.

2/3. 20% slow is 20% slow and affects everyone equally but some slows can be more or less. Shadowflare was 5% and Belias in Ridorana was like +100%.

If monster got hit by 20% slow will it cut their number of attacks from 10/10 to 8/10?

Also how many % that a slow debuff from the monsters in Holminster inflict?

In theory, yes, in practice, server ticks make it a +-1 and if the enemy has cast time abilities, it goes even lower. Slow not only slows down the GCD, it also slows down cast times and the rate of auto attacks.

The slow from the imps is something like 33-50%, it makes you feel miserable.


However, Arm's Length only triggers the Slow from physical attacks, if an enemy is exclusively using magic, they won't get slowed.
