What's your favorite content/activity to do in this game?

Simply just that, I want to know your favorite thing to do in Final Fantasy 14! Please don't be ashamed of whatever you plan to say, or think it makes you look lame or whatever; I'm hoping to see lots of diverse answers! What fun would this game be if every single person did literally the exact same thing all day everyday?
(Also, for the sake of positivity, please don't use this thread to vent about the content you loathe or hate doing. If you post here, I'm asking that you just talk about the content you enjoy)

For me personally:

•Ex trials are my jam. In particular, I REALLY love Suzaku and Innocence. For Suzaku Ex in particular though, I've run her trial so many times it's actually crazy lol. Not even for any mounts, materials, or weapons, just because I genuinely adore the fight.

• I LOVE running dungeons!
...well, sometimes, lol. Having that small, compact group of players blasting through a unique location and tackling its bosses just feels great. Although I do wish the overall dungeon layout and design could be overhauled in the future for the sake of just doing new things, nonetheless, I still find them pretty dang fun all in all.

• HUNTS.
NOTHING beats getting a group of friends together and roaming the open world to find and slay its ferocious creatures. And on top of that, they're pretty rewarding so that nust makes it better!


• Glamour-collecting.
People would never guess just by looking at me, but I admit I'm a bit of a fashionista LOL. I particularly love collecting weapon glamours (mainly PLD shields and DRK swords) and I do pride myself on having a different weapon glamour (all of which I love) for each of my 10 PLD/DRK outfits XD

• Cooking! Both irl and in FFXIV XD
Something about crafting as a CUL just feels so dang good to me. I love it so much. I literally make so much random food that I just hand it out to my friends whenever I see them out in the world XD

• Lastly, making friends & hanging out with them. I feel like people kind of understimate the social power of MMOs sometimes, especially FFXIV...the amount of awesome people I've met on this game blows my mind sometimes, and I am so very thankful to be close with them. I honestly really want to meet some of them IRL one day...so that their accursed status as mere "Internet Friends" can finally go away XD

My favorite activities are fishing and grinding for the relic weapon.

Doing content with other people :) It can be just wandering around but everything's more fun with company

• Sitting in my mansion, staring at my retainer bell
• Sitting in my mansion, staring at the Namazu (yes, yes)
• Fishing for new fish to put in my aquariums
• Sitting in my mansion, staring out the window

....I do a lot of sitting around because I play while I'm at work :(

Savage content and crying to my static about how SE ruined healing.

Also enjoy learning and mastering new classes.

This is tough, because it's nearly overwhelming with how much stuff there is to do in this game!

I enjoy doing group content, mostly dungeons/raids. I like fishing, I like FATES, I like Gold saucer stuff... I like most of it!

Primarily fishing, with a little bit of Frontlines or hunts sprinkled in to mix things up. I've recently been levelling trusts as well, which has been quite nice.

frontlines in pug ,but i need to take long breaks here and there or i go insane.

and dun scaith , its pretty much the only pve content i run for the last 3 years.

i was an omni crafter during hw but i quickly realize how pointless are gils in game and i dont care anymore.

Dungeons with real people.
Dungeons with trust npcs or squadron. There are many jobs I can't play properly due to arthritis so I enjoy the ability to try them out in dungeons without being a nusance to others.
Relic weapon grinds.
Fishing, mining, botany.
Gearing up all the jobs as well as I can.
Crafting.
Playing alt characters (yes, really characters and not jobs).
Sitting around in busy cities or quest hubs looking at glamours and how different race + jobs combos look or to help out players who seem lost.

I too enjoy doing the 4-man dungeons. It's fun just running through with 3 others to me compared to the hectic 8 and 24-man trials and raids. Plus, it's nice seeing your character's progress noticing the change in damage, learning to use your abilities and getting used to the trait changes. For me, it's way to really practice my job and I appreciate that.

Glamour collecting is also fun to me. It takes me back to the days of the original PSO searching for rares hoping to get that drop from an enemy.

Treasure Maps Dungeons are actually pretty fun. It's one of the few things I don't mind the RNG with. Getting a door that seems like it's not going to open only to open at the last minute is so hype.

I honestly just like sightseeing as well. FFXIV has some beautiful areas like the first time you see the skyline of Amaurot. Or that hidden waterfall cave in the Hinterlands. Or witnessing the sunset in Tailfeather. I just wish SE did more with the world that just having it be a place to do fates in.

With that said, I do enjoy doing the sidequests this time around in Shadowbringers beacuse they provide a bit of world building and some actually have some interesting short stories. There's one in Wright that involves a town ghost story explaining how a previous resident jumped off a bridge after her lover died and that her ghost still haunts it. After you investigate you find out the story was true with another unexpected twist. There's a few quests in the Amuro village that are cute too.

This might sound dull, but I enjoy casual leveling the most. It is relaxing. This never felt like a game to take seriously to me. Really no game should be taken seriously, but this game in particular seemed more equivalent to taking a walk in the park.

It used to be leveling. On my previous main character last expansion, I had all jobs at 70. Though I must admit that I used two level boosts (45-60 for WHM and 40-60 for AST) as I'm not good at healing and so leveling them isn't as fun.

For this character this expansion, just grinding for gear I suppose as I'm trying to stick with just one job.

Glamour, as everyone know, that's the true endgame :D

Oddly, I find the thing I most look forward to most days is MSQDR!

It started out just as a way to level my SCH (because I suuuuuck at healing and was terrified to do it in current content after a couple of epic failures, but MSQDR is synched as such to make it ridiculously easy).

But, once my SCH hit 80, I was like "Eh, I'll keep doing it on this character just to get some easy tomes and to give my husband a faster queue when he's leveling a DPS class".

Eventually I realized I just plain looked forward to it every day rather than dreading it! I mean yeah, it's long and it's tedious and it's the same thing over and over, but more often than not I end up having some wildly funny and random conversations with party members while we're all suffering through the long and unskippable cutscenes together, and that's the part I love.

Don't get me wrong, I love my FC and chatting with my peeps that I know, but there's just something about making a few randos that I'll never see again laugh every day that is kinda addictive...

The story (for the future) and job quests. The former has been my only goal since I started Guild Wars 2 on an on-and-off basis. And I use leveling alt jobs as an irrational escape from doing MSQ dungeons and progressing the main story asap. I've never entered a dungeon/trial more than once, except if I dc'ed. As a result I have my MSQ job at 54, currently "chickening out" of the Whorlsometing trial, and a 50 BRD, who only did Dzemael Stronghold, a 45+ PLD, 40 WAR, 43/44 WHM by only doing hunting logs, FATEs, leves and sidequests I saved for that occation XD. SAM/RDM excluded.

- Crafting. I enjoy leveling crafters so much, I do it on every single char with all classes. I need help.

- Relics. I jumped straight into relic grind as soon as my alt hit 50 and finished ARR MSQ and stuck with it until I had the Zeta weapon. Felt really nice wearing it through the better part of Heavensward because every HQ weapon and dungeon drop up to Vault was actually worse. And I made a lot of friends during the grind - teaming up for the 50s dungeon and light farming, giving each other a heads up when a relic FATE spawned and chatting while waiting for the right to spawn etc.

- Gold Saucer. So much to do, Triple Triad, LoV for log, GATEs, Fashion contest...

- Story. No matter how many times I play through it, certain parts still get to me. And I tend to talk with all the NPCs while progressing. And yes, I'm also guilty of /gposing with them way too much.

- dungeons and generally chill group content. You meet the funniest people and have the weirdest headdesk and facepalm moments. And someone has to full the "Tales from the Duty Finder" thread with stories :D

I enjoy trials and a bit of raiding, but not to the point that I'd say it's my favourite thing ever in this game. I raided a lot in many other games, mostly hardcore and I think my raid phase is mostly over. It was great but I don't miss it. I do it more to see the fights, the raid designs, to see how well I do in these fights etc. and some have some really nice stories like Crystal Tower. But I do it neither for clearing asap nor gear nor mounts. Being among "the first" and "in b4 nerf" long lost its charm for me.

Complain on the forums.

Davage, nothing better than Savage in this entire game.

I enjoy:

EX trials- especially since I only run ex trials and dungeons etc with my fc. A lot more fun than with randoms I don't know and will never see again

Hunts- Nice quick and fun. Also do these with fc members though a lot of time will find a pf party and group up. Still fun though ^.^

Crafting and Gathering- I find both nice and relaxing and I love making things that people can use.

Sightseeing logs- These are fun to do. I like going out and finding them and reading the descriptions they have in the sightseeing log.

hanging out with FC members and friends. Sometimes it is nice to not do anything and just sit around chatting with people.

Glamour, Alliance raids and treasure map/treasure dungeons are the things I enjoy the most.
I also like going for the Relic but that one can be heartbreaking at times (Atma anyone?;))

Dungeons make me wanna kill myself, only even semi partially entertaining when brand new, and ill never do more then 1 run ever again of it.

I'm one of those few people that enjoys fishing in video games, FF14 included
I like leveling jobs in this game, being able to level them all on one character is awesome
I like doing EX trials since they require some skill but are not as frustrating to do with randoms as savage content (with a few exceptions like Suzaku EX)

Hmm little bit of that, little bit of this.
Can't say I have a definite "favorite" to be honest.

I just enjoy running around with my cat doing stuff. :D

Pretty much all 4 man content. I am always amazed at how many people don't play Deep Dungeon. I look forward to every iteration of it. Take my newer FC mates through it. Solo it. It's the hardest 4 man content in the game with some of the best rewards.

Treasure hunts. In stark contrast as far as difficulty, Treasure Hunt Maps are super easy but the rewards are equally amazing. You have a brief stint in the open world followed by a romp through more randomized goodness.

And I think that's what it boils down to. Random is definitely fun to me. Smaller groups are always nice. Can't beat these two pieces of content.

Questing is number one for me. I just like stories and going on adventures. Sometimes there are puzzles which is awesome.

My other favorites are making glamours, trials, dungeons, sightseeing, finding aether currents and hunt bills. The last three feel like hunting treasures since you go to the open world and look for something hidden.

Playing the MSQ. I wish it was endless. I am a devourer of stories, and FFXIV msq only gets better and better. Can't wait for New Game +. I also enjoy side quests and tribe quests stories.

Trying a few different classes with the same character, just to see how they work.

Hunts. I might lag a lot sometimes, but I always have fun flying around with a group of nutters riding every mount in the game. Plus, at least in my server, hunters are nice ppl and they help each other.

Running dungeons with Trusts. They never get mad at me or at each other.

Running dungeons with the friends that brought me to this game, but that doesnt happen often enough, since I play in NA from EU and our time zones don't coincide easily.

Looking for something to wear/glamour that I like. I am too picky >.<

Exploring, sightseeing.

Decorating our small FC house.

Raising random people in open world (like in a fate, etc). I made a RDM just for that. I wish I could use her more often, you're all either too good at surviving or too quiet when you die!

Meeting funny, patient, helpful, good-humoured, laid-back and overall nice peeps. Doing content with them.

Learning something new every time I play.

And I love FFXV music and environments!

Honestly?

Just quests, really. I'm probably burned out. Everything's great the first couple times I run it, but then I get bored. The more different things I do, the more I get bored with, until I'm bored with the entire game until new quests come out. Plus this game's community is just exhaustingly bad at times.

My favorite content is savage raiding, but because of life/work I dont have time to enjoy it the way I want and pugs stress me out. My second favorite is leveling classes through dungeons.
