Because of the long running joke of DRG always leaping straight into the jaws of death (or off a cliff) and spending the rest of the fight eating dirt. This was a while ago, though. They're good now. Was animation lock shenanigans and such getting em killed.
Actually, job specific mounts would be awesome, like the WHM unicorn except better. I could imagine MCH would get a pretty awesome mount, like, i dunno, Starscream :D -

Good luck getting the bed mount. Requires new wood that drops from maps. Did several runs today and found plenty of cloth and a couple of leathers, but zero lumber.
