A common misconception. Some can as per the information on them in the first lore book. It's just rare.

I'll second that one. The bigger muscularity and the mutations. Although I'd be fine with it for both subraces, one thing they could've done for the males is left the Raen as they are and gone with such bulkier builds and mutations for the Xaela, a bit like the Midlander/Highlander bifurcation. And also give the females in both cases a bit more height range on the slider, maybe to reach Highlander female at max height, so they end up having a wide slider like the Roegadyn one.

Correct, which would fit in just fine with being the WoL, given how rare that is, in turn. It would of course pose some difficulties in the story sense but I don't see them being much worse than those Hrothgar pose, e.g. in Ul'dah.

My picks would be the older style Au Ra (if only they had a time machine...), male Viera (if designed like the concept art SE showcased), Garlean Purebloods (along the lines of Varis/Gaius/Zenos) and for smaller races, Ivalician Moogles. Aegyl and Gria would be cool, if they could find a way to make the wings not be a problem.

Pixies. :) Those are so adorable. Faeries in general would honestly be the only thing I would Fantasia for from Elezen.

Yeah, if they went for another small race, I'd like them.

I got the one I wanted! But, if I had to pick another it'd probably be a moogle.

I wanted two races when 1.0 was first announced. Viera, and Gria.

We got one. The one I'd really like to play is the other remaining race. Gria would be my favorite.

Garlean or Namazu, probably. My favorite characters in most FF games are usually human or close to. Namazu, however, hold a special place in my heart. I love those little guys.

Moomba from FFVIII would scratch the itch you didn't know you had. Goblins/Moblins would be another good shout.

Personally I'll go for Burmecians from FFIX for being notably different but cool enough to be popular.

Ivalice moogles are my ultimate dream. ;_;

Actually, yeah I would love to play a half elezen/hyur. Like what's her name. Hyur midlander would be what I play over any other race if their animations didn't suck. A hyur with elf ears, and sharper features would make them slightly more unique, but human enough to look nice. As long as the animations were good, it would be perfect.

I've actually been thinking about just saying screw it and switching to hyur midlander permanently at some point. Other than the animations all the other races have something that bothers me, like Viera being limited, tails (I hate the clipping), and the weird ear armor thing stuff has going on.

Have to say Miqo'te for me.

Was a mithra in FFXI from 2003 until FFXIV launched and a miqo'te from then until now.

You cannot mess with perfection.
