Server queue time

I just logged into the game and when I went to select my character I was put in a queue of almost 1200 people. This is by far the WORST queue I've ever seen in this game. OMFG!!!

The data centers are recovering from a crash. Chill.

Would seem that aether, primal, and crystal all crashed

I've never seen more than a 50 person queue. Even on launch day it was 50 at most. I'm also getting a 1200 person queue so I'm kind of curious if something has changed.

Children are DDOSing again. For some reason they seem to think that when they DDOS everyone is suddenly gonna go "ZOMG I'M DUN!!!" and run back to their precious WoW. Just wait it out, usually lasts for about 10 minutes or so.

Yeah, the servers had a bit of a break down. It may take a few for anyone to log in right now. I've been in queue for about 10 minutes or so.

TBH what would recovering from a crash have to do with the position in queue? That's how many people are trying to get into the game at this current time. It has nothing to do with a crash as the servers are not offline.

A lot of people that were already in game got d/ced so they immediately tried to log back in. This is the result. Couple that with people like yourself and voila, we have server congestion.

Balmung crashed about 15mins ago still waiting to get in xD 709 players in queue.

The servers crashed and booted everyone off. Therefore, for that second, they were offline. Now everyone is bumrushing back in. This is all assuming it's not a DDOS.

Because when the servers crash everyone who was on it gets kicked and then they immediately try to get back on. They can't just let everyone on at once again because it will cause another crash. Hence queue.

Of course this crap has to be going on when I finally get home from work, I wouldn't want to relax and have fun or anything.

Wow, I picked a great time to run to the market.

I feel bad for all those ppl doing Alliance raid and got an annoying one like Rabanastre, get to the final boss, then this happens xD.

A few minutes ago I got on and noticed that I was getting some delays while accepting a few beast tribe quests. It seemed to sort itself out and I went about completing a couple of quests. Then suddenly I lost connection to the server and when I tried to log back in there were nearly 2000 players in the queue. Decided to just try again later.

I can't even connect to the server. Connection had encountered an error. Uhh...

Started at 1200 got to 74 then encountered a lobby server error and got kicked to desktop. LOL

Saw lots of people crash...including our tank. Waited about 10-15 mins for the tank to come back online (myself - healer and 2 dps) before we booted the tank and got another. Managed to finish the dungeon (thankfully) and then got dc'd immediately after the dungeon.

I can't get back to the queue keep getting lobby server error. I needed this to distract me today too, gah!

SHB was such a smooth launch though, I am not gonna complain about one spotty day almost a month later.

Last week was over 3300 in the queue, but it went fast. Not sure why...hesitate to give any credit to any type of DDOS (they don't deserve it), but it went fast.

Their login servers have regulations on how many can log in per cycle. Its an intentional bottleneck to regulate traffic and make it safer on the servers against DDoS and the such.

Yup, I was waiting in que and was down to 254 and the lobby crashed. Now when I get to the start screen it doesn't even let me get passed it. Sigh...I just want to gather...but oh well

Servers died. Lobby server error over and over

There's a message on their site specifically saying they were experiencing a DDoS attack.

It's not like they've been in the MMO business for the past 16 years, or I might be pissed.

I love how every time a DDoS happens we kinda just have to wait for them to stop because.. ya know.. SE.

Network Technical Difficulties Caused by DDoS Attacks (Jul. 25)

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties due to a DDoS attack

and to add on to this you have thousands of people trying to log in at same time.. sure its will crash..

Came back in after a 38min wait only to lag out and eventually got kicked.

Let me guess, they demanded both new races have the genderlocked removed, and for a instant bans for anyone interrupting an RP session, before they stop their DDOS attack?

It has everything to do with the the crash. A ton of people were booted out and are trying to get back in all at once. In your own words, "That's how many people are trying to get into the game at this current time.".

This right here. Things were still screwy once I actually got in. Was going to do some fishing till it hopefully subsided, but decided to just take a self imposed time out, to let things settle a bit. I'll try getting back on in half an hour, if I can cool. If not? Well, there's always tomorrow.

I decided to go play with my puppy. Currently watching reruns of family feud and playing tug while occasionally scanning forums.
