Blue mage just keeps applying Toad Oil, and blowing up. Red Mage keeps resing with Dual Cast.

Can't do red mage blue mage cause blue mage is limited job and it would make sense

Can't show off blue mage working in a msq instance cause people would riot

Ninja with throwing-knives still makes sense for the circus performer vibe though.

i was more surprised they just plopped dead, no turning into sin eaters, no fusing into Meltigemini really thought they would go full Zorn and Thorn especially after using their music. /sadface

Now that would have been a better pay off then what we ended up getting. But honestly they weren't prominent enough to get that pay off.

Well...

Honestly I was surprised to see them get the Zorn/Thorn music at all, obviously they're jesters, but I thought our Zorn/Thorn duo was already revealed at the end of Ghimlyt Dark. Annia and Julia had the same Red/Blue colour scheme, dubious masters, and heck... They've just seen a change in management I imagine; Varis is the Queen Brahne to Zenos Kuja now... After seeing what happened to Grynewaht under Zenos, one can only expect a Meltigemini abomination in Annia and Julias future...

I still think it would have been sick if Alphinaud respec'd as a BLU this expac to parallel his sister, and lets be honest a cane suits him perfectly. But alas, they made BLU a mess so nope.

Would've shown really how demented Vauthry was willing to go for protection probably would have been better than Ran'jit again as i honestly felt he should've died to Thancred so the 2 jesters forcing themselves to become a sin eater fusion would've been far better personally.

Imagine the salt if one of the Trust characters was a Blue Mage with actual NPC scaling...

True, but i feel like they would have needed more build-up for that beyond "We are here to take you to bliss as slave labor, also here have these sinny buns." Like maybe they had been secretly tailing us through the story leaving clues for Ran'jit to follow or just been a bigger hindrance to us once we left Eulmore for the first time. I honestly felt they were underutilized

They never used Zorn and Thorn's music. They used Calcabrina's theme, which is was already in game from their boss fight.

Honestly they need to stop putting in two identical looking people that have a red and blue motif, 'cause this happens every time when they do. Two people in matching magitek armor that is colored red and blue? ZORN AND THORN. Two identical jester ladies
dressed in red and blue?! ZORN AND THORN!!

Of course, I wouldn't put it past the devs to be just doing it to troll people.

In consideration, they could be the same souls, sundered from the source. There’s no explicit reason to state this, but it would make a lot of sense from that perspective.
