Butt Slider for Character Creation SE, where is it?

We've been asking for years already. Give us back our butts. Can we get someone from the media to ask them about this in a future interview? I'd like to hear the dev teams reasons, with regard to where the game is now as well.

Curiously the Viera butt size changes based on whether or not your wearing the racial gear, so maybe it's possible

The butt slider budget was used to make the viera butts

Its not pretty. You're going to want them dinking around with butts over job balance.

I'm not confident in the butt slider coming anytime soon...

However, if 2B's (Or whatever character is her surrogate's) posterior doesn't have at LEAST as many polygons as the 1.0 flowerpots - I'm not going to call the Neir Raid anything resembling accurate to theme.

Since items are fixed, a slider would drag out the textures and make it look bad. And they don't want to to do that.

They never said it wouldn’t happen. During the live letter in Frankfurt, he stated that since NA and EU players wanted it so much, he would ask the graphics team about it. So basically, it’s neither confirmed or denied. But it’s safe to say that it’s not going to happen.

I just remember watching an interview where the slider was brought up and he mentioned the textures and such.
Couldn't remember everything word by word, but sounded like they weren't concidering it.
But yeah, like you said, I'm fairly sure it won't happen either.

I want them to give the butts back so people can stop asking for this to be honest.
Like, we literally have so many issues with this game and butts are the least of the problems.
If we're gonna fix anything CC wise, fix the rush mess that is Viera and Ronso.
Then add more things to current races....THEN lastly do the butts lol.

But honestly I wish they would adjust it some. Male and Female characters use the same base model designs for butts. But when you think of all the armor... that would be a monumental task to update everything from the start of the game to current.

With how well they are handling healers, and job balance in general, they might as well let the artists take a stab at it xD

As much as I like the Idea of a Butt Slider and a "Front" slider, I think it would create problems

Don't worry, if male viera ever do come out their racial armor will have a "healthy bulge" to offset the female variant. :)

No it dosent. Its the same flat pancake butt but completely exposed so it looks slightly bigger

hey fun fact, even if it was implemented it wouldnt mean anything for the majority of gearsets (it might even mess a couple up). Your bust slider only affects a handful of chest pieces, including the hempen set.

I feel like there's more important things to desire from the game, like actual content, optimization, etc.

If you need butt (and other) sliders in this game in order to have "fun" perhaps you're maybe playing the wrong type of game. Could I interest you in a free flash game on a shady website that may cater to your needs better?

and the starting gear just exposing it - visually makes it in better shape, but it is not


I think JP prefers breasts, just look how huge your breast can be as Elezen/Viera/Miqote


ps: ironically one of the smallest Race, and almost of the smallest butt, and the best shaped butt has Aura - good curves from side and nice buble rear

That is true. In asian countries, they prefer their women to have larger breasts and prioritize breasts along with a petite body. But here in America, we tend to prioritize curves...basically all of the above. Like breasts, hips, shape, butt. So that’s probably the main reason why there is a breast slider but no butt slider for customization.

You know, I actually investigated this, and I found that Viera butts actually DO have a slightly different shape/size depending on the undergarments. I'm not sure if it's the same size, but it's shaped differently, was it to make it seem bigger? Or did they cheap out on the outfit to have less polygons? I'll post pictures to show you. I used the glamour dresser so I could switch between them, while having my character at the exact same angle.

Make a straight line up and down and line it against the back of the leg.
That way you can see if the butt gets bigger or smaller compariong those two pictures.

The racial armor butt is slightly larger, but not fatter; longer.

Haha, well it’s interesting to see this. I’m personally glad you posted this, since I don’t play Viera and I was always curious. And who knows, maybe Yoshida will look at this thread and go “hm, maybe I should do this after all” :P

The racial butt has a bit more of a "bottom shelf"*, which gives it the appearance of being bigger. Also the thong gives more shape to each cheek, as opposed to most other swimsuits, which basically make the butt this one flat-ish area.

*The angle from the top of the thigh and the bottom of the butt-cheek.

Butt sliders are a bit silly, but you'd be pretty wrong about that. Besides the story the majority of people play the game as a form of socializing. Character customization to most people is actual content.

I agree. As someone who used to play avatar-social world games like PlayStation Home or secondlife, character customization is very important to weirdos like me, lol.

I wonder if they could at least make the butts better for new gear. I've noticed the difference on Viera from wearing the race bottoms then switching to pants. Most pants make it look much worse since there is fabric added to the thigh area (adding bulk) but the butt area is just painted on color of the pants and that makes it look really weird.
