Anyone have any idea how long this is going to be ? I've never played FF during or after an expansion. I'm getting a little tired of seeing this message with the count at 55. I can do other things besides wasting my time WAITING to play FF !

Are you really complaining about a 55 queue that goes by in a few minutes?
Never had to deal with a wait on Diabolos during Stormblood. It's probably being on congested worlds and their servers can't handle the strain.
Back in my day.....
.....I had to wait 15+ minutes to log in.
I'll take the horrible inconvenience of a couple minutes, tops, over the way it's been in other MMOs in the past.
Should have seen the queues Balmung had at the start of SB before they started doing forced logouts every afternoon.
55? You'll literally just have to wait for like...3 minutes.
its literally not a big deal whatsoever. i just had 49. it took 15 seconds.
Those go by pretty quickly. So long as it isn't higher than 500 the wait will generally only be 1-10 minutes long. You're almost never going to be in a situation where the queue stops moving entirely - not unless you end up waiting to get in during an expansion release or when housing drops. Those are about the only two times when the queue will move slower than molasses.
....55? It takes like, at most, MAYBE a total of 2 min for that to go by? Is this a troll thread? *confused noises*
Ragnarok crashed today

took 1:25 hr to log in
This is pretty standard for this game, unfortunately the massive amount of players in some data centers cause a que time. There are smaller servers like on crystal but currently everyone wants to stay on primal or aether. I would consider moving somewhere on crystal for shorter times.
Believe it or not this is miles better then their last expansion. Stormblood was an epic failure at launch with the frequent world congestion crashes and 3,000+ persons que. they are getting considerably better at xpac lunches so I would take a look at the past and see that they are making great strides lol a little crafting joke XD
I actually like when the world is full with a small que. Because it feels nice to do stuff inside like fates, hunts and other things. Wait less than 5 min is really ok for me.
Yeah, launch has been better than ARR (couldn't log in for two weeks, even though I preordered, because it was sold out at game stores here, and then when I tried to buy it digitally instead, I couldn't, since they stopped digital sales due to too much congestion).
Better than HW and SB due to far less 90k errors, I only got 1 in SHB, compared to the 50+ in HW and SB.
I'd take wait time over being unable to log in at all :)
Annoyingly though, despite being on the same homeworld and logging in at the same time, my husband queue is always much shorter.
It takes longer than that to queue for a duty...
It's a bit funny to see such a complaint, but trust me 55 is good. My friend on the EU servers, had a queue of 4 hours... They had totally forgot they had even queued until heard the login jingle to be like, oh! I had forgot, let's play!
The queue takes less than a minute.
Log in queues, blocked server transfers, blocked character creation, the 90 day transfer restriction and world visit are not acceptable solutions to server congestion according to some players. How would you solve it?
55 queue is nothing and only takes a minute or two to pass.
If you are on Balmung or I imagine Gilgamesh you'll get this stuff regularly.
55 people, it's not even a minute of waiting. Just go get a drink or something and it'll be gone.
lol....ihad 765 till que 55 is nothing besides tis will pass in a month or less till they started adding more to 5.0.
Oh yeah it only took like 10 minutes from 765 to get in so not so bad...if you got it than enjoy :D

Oh no.. OH NO!
This is nothing customers should care for.
I mean, is it my fault that Squeenix let fill up their servers I am "unfortunately" on? They know how many subscriptions are running, and how many are registered for each server - a luxury not many MMO developers have on their hands. Either they are running on limits or their scalability is not great. But in the end: It's again not my thing to rack my brain over that.
I am not complaining, I played LoL during Dreamhack (4 hours queue for an error message), but I see this weird type of response again. I do that at work from now on, too: "Oh, the item is sold out. Well, come up with some solutions for my company and we can talk again".
It's more then that. It's unacceptable in a game that has a time based sub.
55 might be small, but it gets to the point where the bigger servers have massive queue times.
SE isn't some small indie dev. They could easily fix the issue.
Also sucks considering their are hundreds of bots in each world currently.
Now I remember 4000+ queues on Odin back on 4.0 start when you were have to wait more than hour just to log in. And if, for any reason, server dropped, there instantly was 20.000+ queue. Ah, the days.
Waiting 1-2 minutes for 35 people is troublesome? C'mon. They did amazing work with servers this time, seriously.
Outside of this, amount of players will probably slowly go down in a month. Or maybe not.
They fixed it, though. In Stormblood situation was just horrible with from 2.000 to 4.000 queue as an absolutely normal thing and also with servers shut downs with 20.000+ queues as a result of this. Waiting 4 hours for log in? Easy. And they fixed it this time so awesomely that in Early Access and first weeks of the expansion I had queue longer than 1 minute just one or two times on Ragnarok which is most populated server on EU and one of the most populated server out of all of them overall. So ye, they actually fixed it. SE isn't "small indie dev", but they aren't gods, you see. /shrugs/
The game currently has 14m active accounts, ques are to be expected and SE has been doing everything they can to ensure as smooth a log in process and as fast a queing as possible. Especially after the fiasco that was Raubahn Savage and Pippin EX back in Stormblood.
So really the fact that they have so many people playing the game and the ques are all really freakin short is a great thing. This is not like Stormblood release with daily 1000-3000 player ques even for mid pop servers, or like WoW WoD release where they had 10m active players and the ques were horrendous where some people had to wait hours to get into their servers.
In the time it took you to type this post...your queue probably finished.
I must say that I was really pleased at such a smooth Early Access and Launch we've all had with Shb. One thing I noticed was they didn't put a duty instance right near the beginning of the msq. I guess so the flow and pace of players could get thinned out a bit before loading into the first queue, like what happened in SB. Thanks devs and Shb team for a great expansion
As far as a queue at login, no big deal. We did have the auto log out for SB too and each area was divided into three instances as well, just as it is for Shb now. Just we didn't have the big bottle neck we experienced for SB. Really OP why complain about waiting 1 whole min to log in?
Perspective: It took you more than three times to make this thread compared to the wait to enter your server.
