Spriggan has also gone mad. 1700 in queue now and it's also a brand new world.
Isn't it because people use the World Visit to avoid their queue so they go in the new worlds and disconnect there ?
It was predictable really. Gotta say, not a big fan, but it'll calm down eventually.
This is crazy. The queue actually grew whilst I am in it. It's so large, and moving at a rate of aprox 2-6 players per 5 minutes.
Is this just the server screwing up? I find it hard to believe it's anything to do with World Visit.
As it stands, there's no point trying to login right now.
Spriggan here. 1665 players in queue, it took an hour to log in.
I went to check another world (Cerberus, then Ragnarok) for some prices on the market board for references. It took me one second to go from Spriggan to Cerberus, and one second again from Cerberus to Ragnarok.
Now it's been 60+ minutes i was stuck in queue to go back to Spriggan (which is my home world).
The amount of wanderers on Spriggan is way too much, i don't even have priority to log in my home world when others from other servers are just coming over here to afk (and i'm not even exaggerating). i really would love SE to do something about it. What was the point to move server otherwise?
I wouldn't say a damn thing if only i was able to teleport to another zone, or check my retainers or else, while i'm waiting to get back there but no, just have to wait 60 minutes and certainly must. not. go. afk. really disappointing.
same here, i am new player started 2 weeks a go with 10-100 max queue now it's impossible to login 1700 queued players, yesterday i waited 1.5 hours then i exit.. not a good impression at all for new players if i need to renew..
Spriggan is going nuts atm as well. 2k somewhen at 6 am. Not sure their "prefered player" system is working where people from the server should be able to queue in faster. Right now it seems ridiculous. But then again - Maybe we get housing now that the servers are "full" :D
It's really weird, been like 10-100 queue since start of ShB and all of sudden starting from yesterday at worst a 2.3k queue. Now I'm sitting on a 600 person queue. What gives, SE?
I think they should go ahead and do those server resets they talked about in the Congestion post on the Lodestone to force kick all the AFKs
It seems to be happending mostly around the late evening hours, starting at 7-8pm (European / German timezone), from what I experienced yesterday. When I normally log in during the afternoon or sometimes in the late morning, the queue tends to be only in its 30s.
Yeah these queues are absurd. Since I rolled a new character for the Road to 70 buff I am unlocking all new content and whatnot in all the starting areas and the server is FLOODED with RMT bots everywhere. SE makes an absurd amount of money yet here we are dealing with all of this crap because they can't be bothered to spend some of that profit on a larger team to combat RMTers as well as help fix problems like this server congestion. Makes it hard to continue playing.
It really didn't do anything, at least not on the NA servers. They did it once a day, at like... 1PM PST (same time every day), and everyone would log right back on and go back to AFK'ing. If they're going to do it, they need to sporadically. The problem with this is if they do it during peak hours then the drawback is an accidental player DDOS as we all hammer the servers trying to avoid the queue and get back in ASAP.
i don't know u guys but it's the third day waiting more than 1.5h to play basically i wait more time than what i actually play, isn't this a bit ridicolous since we are paying monthly subscription to play?
it's ridiculous, I recently created a new character on twintania, anytime I try to log in with her, I have over 1000 queue which is way more than my primary character on omega which at worst I get maybe a 400 queue.
How the f can spriggan have so many player? Ph wait.. those wanderers. Can SE NOR prioritize them? They chose NOT to change. I DID.
1700 queue!
Please fix!
This is getting ridicilous now.
I am happy the game is a big hit right now and there are plenty of players, I really am! But come on, it is 1:10 and there is a queue of 710? Surely SE did something wrong and kept it too long as a preferred server or something? Even the congested servers do not have such a queue right now.
Data centers split and new servers happened to avoid this... And yet here we are. People from Twintania/Spriggan should have priority to log.
Also. I wish SE could fix hunts and special FATEs. I hate having Wanderers lagging my experience.
It btw seems to vary from PS4 and PC players. My BF is on PC and has a much longer waiting time than me on PS4. Which seems weird. Anyone else experienced that?
I know on the NA server there is 400-1200 queues on all servers on all three dataservers during primetime. During mornings its 10-30.
Normally when I get on in the afternoon, I login and do my retainer stuff and other light stuff before doing dungeons while cooking dinner so I'm already logged in and ready to play before the queues get heavy. Means eating a bit earlier, but its what it takes unless they open some new servers.
All the EU servers are congested around those times. It's being caused by 2 things.RMT sellers hammering character creation on the servers and fate/hunt groups hopping servers in huge numbers to kill other servers marks.
Also Twintania seems to have an excessive number of bots. Most Eu servers on that data centre you cant create characters currently so they are making all of their RMT advertising accounts on Twintania and then server hopping to places like Odin etc to advertise
Also, from personal experience, a lot of players from larger servers like Odin or Shiva, log out on Twintania (or Spriggan) to avoid the huge login queues on those servers. SE actually encouraged us so on the Lodestone posts. This seems to have catched on onto more players lately. EU data centers are pretty much packed right now.
Laughing at a max queue of 200 on Louisoix every evening XD XD Glad I picked a nearly dead server
exactly queue time before 3 days ago was acceptable around 100-400 players maximum 15-30 minutes, all this mess happened last 2 days where already in mid afternoon EU time it get 1500 queue time and yesterday evening I was at 2100...
it's stupid that i need to login at mid-afternoon to play in the evening.. this is really no-sense for a paid to play game. Where is SE?
I'm wondering why we didn't have any issues on Faerie? The queue has never been more than 15-25 people.
Has anyone mentioned the botters? I barely see them on Odin atm even the gil selling website ones are from Twintania using world visit, right now, botters have it so easy. If I recall you get 1 million gil and free game time for reaching level 30 on Twintania, correct me if I'm wrong. If this is still the case then every chinese "sgsgshgs agfgsga" botter is currently on those new servers milking it for all it's worth.
i had to wait like an hour, i hope they can fix this somehow.
People might be taking advantage of the transfer from Congested to Preferred worlds for free stuff.
Today seems fine so far, only 34 in queue at 20:05 CET.
This might be a newbie question, and maybe not even the place to ask it, but can someone tell me how these new servers normally turn out ? Whilst making my first ever FF14 character the Twintania server was the only server accepting new characters. At the time i was thinking "i'll be fine" but i'm starting to worry if that is the case. Will I be able to find a guild ? Guilds that would want to help a new player ? Is it even an english speaking server etc. etc. ?
I anyone could give me some pointers that would be great :)
Short version: You'll be fine.
When Stormblood launched they added the Omega and Louisoix servers. While they still have slightly lower populations than the other EU servers, they are not far behind. Plenty of activity on them, and plenty of Free Companies ("guilds") of various sorts.
Right now, soon after the servers were added, I expect the communities on Spriggan and Twintania are still in the process of organizing themselves and setting up Free Companies and such. Perfect time to get in if you want to help shape the community. Otherwise I expect things will start to settle soon enough, and they will become much like any other server.
As for languages used, all servers in the EU and NA datacenters have a substantial English-speaking population. Which other languages, if any, will be prevalent on any given server is largely up to the players and it is probably a bit too soon to tell how Twintania will turn out in that regard.
I really do wonder what is going on. Going from +/- 200 queue on Twintania 3 days ago to nearly 2.5k at peak hours is a drastic increase. I'm sure the wanderers are part of the problem but I've seen plenty on the first days as well. If anything the amount of people who moved to Twintania seemed to have tripled. Limsa went from cozy with usually the same faces to congested with dozens of unknown people. Its almost as if some big influencer moved here and his/her fanbase along with it.
Edit: Right now it seems to be back to normal? 85 people in queue whereas yesterday at this same hour it was 1.8k
