Lobby Server Error

Anyone else unable to get in? Tried three times, can't get past 'connecting to data center.' Gives a lobby server error 2002 message. Was working fine this morning.

I was in, got d/c along with a friend and now can't get back in.

Looks like all the datacenters crashed, or at least all of NA. I waited 30 minutes for a level 80 queue for this dungeon I was in prior. Last boss. This is awful.

Most likely another DDOS attack, lot of people got kicked and cant get back in or have a long que line.

Some baby is probably DDoS'ing the services connecting to FF XIV again, because a heavy traffic holiday is coming.

Me and my friends all got booted about 10 minutes ago from Hyperion (Primal) so yeah. NA data center is probably down

I got booted out of the level 78 solo battle. Towards the end.

At least it's not just me...

most likely another ddos. give it a few minutes. people are slowly getting let back in

Yeah every Data Center mass crashed from what I can gather.

I'm on Crystal, and there's currently a queue but it's moving. The data centers definitely crashed though, about 10 minutes ago give or take.

Hyperion down as well, got kicked out in an intense cs. Me sad.

I'm back in, but yeah looks like my dungeon is gone. This sucks. I was about to have full left side Ronkan gear for completing that (tomes I needed), new player bonus too..

The world shows up but I am getting error at the lobby?

Crystal as well but I keep getting hit with the "lobby server connection has encountered an error."

*Edit - 2.3k queue, finally passed the lobby server.

Friends are in queue on primal, but I keep getting lobby error 2002 and kicked out. Retyping password repeatedly is getting old.

Edit: Oh there we go... 1705 in queue...

Yeah, someone on the dev team needs to take an Error Handling 101 class with this one. Nothing connection-related should ever crash the player out of the client.

In times when I'm not concerned about security and I want to spam login attempts, I usually open an instance of notepad and put my password in there. Then I just copy and paste.

Won't help on PS4, sadly.

An FC member and I were left alone in the world the whole time. We didn’t get booted. Everyone around me disappeared at the Rak Tika Aetheryte while my FC partner was left alone in PVP winning by default last man alive! That was funny as Hell.

I got the boot as well ...booo :(

You know, come to think of it, the queue message stating "This World is currently full." is something of a lie. I propose it be rewritten as "The Nutkins powering our login servers are running as fast as they can. Please be patient."

god it annoys me to no end how the client always just shuts down if the connection fails.

They really need to get their stuff together.

I get that it's probably a DDOS (or so they claim)...but (a) they should be able to work around that (redundancies, perhaps?) and (b) error 2002 should not result in a crash to desktop.

And welcome to another Expansion release... every 2 years the same thing!!! Just go outside and enjoy life, things will prob be back to normal within a week.

I got booted mid log-in queue. I’m gonna take a break until further notice.

Agreed. That the most annoying thing of all this. Client crash > Restart client > type in password & one time password > error > client shuts down... do it all again.

Ah this is still going on; I got booted almost an hour ago. Granted I was done for the day but still tomorrow is a day most of NA is going to have off. I hope SE fixes things. :(

There's not much they can do anymore. The DDoS attacks stopped targetting XIV a while ago, now they target nodes on the way to the data centers.

I like how I only had 600 more to go in queue (From 2100 an hour ago) so I tab away (still see it in background) then try again like 5 mins later, 2155.
