Loved them in FF Tactics, loved them in FFXII, I for sure want to make a new character at the start of 2.0 and I want it to be a snow bunny:o

Lizard, goat, troll people are all for other fantasy mmo's. This is Final Fantasy and none of that really feels canon to me. One animal person is enough for me.

Something more beastly than miqos, like viera would be more interesting. SE took what made mithra interesting: hairy, dirty, jungle cat girls who had very much feline faces, and they made them into almost anime-like humans with big eyes, cat ears, and a tail. They even took away the mithra rolling RRRs :(

I voted for a demi-human sort of race, which I hope is a count for something aquatic, although really I'm sure anything they put out will be fine. I guess a lizard race a la Bangaa would be cool, but I think a Draconian race sounds more likely.
What I really wanted though was just the option to add more features, body builds, etc. for existing clans, but the poll had the answer worded as just "more clans", which I don't really think we need more of.
I'd like them to keep FF worlds relatively contained though, so outside of gameplay concepts and series staples, I'd rather not see something like a Guado or a literal Viera in FFXIV. A little originality or creativity IS nice from time to time. -

In every game that I've played that has Vierra (which aren't that many) I've played them. In Final Fantasy Tactics, I got rid of all the other races and had a team full of Vierra lol. They are spiritual beasts. Miq'ote aren't. It's not about having another sexy beast, but the lore for them is awesome. They jobs tied to them have made sense and their equipment is TOTALLY different compared to other races. It not only adds a variety to races, but also how equipment looks on different races.
On the note of "sexy beast", I love how they are tall but actually proportioned compared to Elezen lol. -

I think at the very least Viera NPCs would be cool, and it would make sense to see them in the Waking Sands talking about how the mist is thickening around Ul'dah or similar.
Also be nice if there was a stat boost system, Roegdyn better strength, Miqo'te better agility, Viera better magic etc. - but I guess that goes against the 'any character any class' thing which I personally love so...
Fran was one of my favourite characters in XII so, yeah, I voted Viera - but the thing we have to remember is just because they asked us what we would 'like' to see does not mean they will add it, or even another race at all, they just want opinions for if they decide to add another race. -

Goblin race, they're not cute and plushie, sorta kinda. I always wanted to see Goblins be part of the good side after the missions and poor Flixbix in FFXI, such a sad moment. :'(
