It already seems like Miqo'te is the most-used race. Do we really need another "sexy" mammal, vaguely fetish-y race?

I think more clans for the existing races or maybe the mixed-race thing would be better for the game and its fantasy atmosphere.

It's high fantasy, not sex fantasies :P

Personally I want to see more customization/expansion done with the existing races, but I won't begrudge you if you get your wish and Viera magically hop off Dalamund after 2.0 :)

I cant see why they wouldn't just add all of them, i guess they just want to see if any can reach a certain amount of votes. I chose mixed races because personally, I'd like to see a Chibi Cat.

Also, they can possibly make a viera-like race out of Miqo'te + Elezen. Longer ears sticking up like a bunny, tall, sleek. Etc.

Give Galka their tails back too while you are at it :P

Also the unfortunate truth is with mixed races... we probably wont get to play them. Not for a very very very long time. We would proabably only see certain npcs of that variety.
Id rather take my chances on fighting snow bunnies than being teased by halfling npcs :/

I think what they meant by that question was playable races, though I could be mistaken,we'll need a community rep to come and clarify that immediately, its not very fair that we answer that question having the wrong idea.

I say beastmen cuz that was my understanding of the question. But I think they asked for playable races in that same question so it made the choice kinda difficult. Ah well not like i feel like changing from lala anyways :/

I think more diverse clans and such would be much better or reptilian/draconic type race would be better...

Meteor will make radiations that will create new mutant clans among the existing races (Roegadyn + dragon, Lalafell + dormouse, etc ...), that will be available in 2.0.

It is well known.

The reason I want more clans or mixed-races is basically because of my desire for more customization options for the existing races. The more customization the better.

(And good customization isn't the same thing as making an entirely new race in which all of that race has one of seven versions of the same face/hair/build.)

Also, it kind of feels like they'd be messing with the iconic FF-MMO quality of the 5 original races if they added a weird new one.

agreed thats another reason why I think the question was geared towards beastmen. Tho the multi racial just throws it all off >.<

I vote for mixed races. In game lore it make a lot of sense, there are already cases of love interest of two different species. It will make more credible that Eorzea is a continent rich in cultures and species. and the possibilities of customitation could be endless ^^.

I find it funny that one of the examples in the poll is miqo´te with lalafell, maybe it is me, but this two species are usually paired together, aren´t they? And you know, when you think about the miqo´tes in the miners guild and the lalafells owners of the guild and the commentary of one of the miqo´tes about how the owner chose his lovers...

Scientifically it shouldn't be possible for mixed races/species. The number of chromosomes is obviously different.

I mean...Lalafell+Roegadyn/Miqo'te etc, it just shouldn't be..

seriously though people, mix races and more clans is a waste of time. dah fuh is the point if A) they are going to spruce up customization anyways. B) we dont get any racial passivese. C) theres alreaday alot to chose from.

I wanted to vote for all of them, but voted for Viera in the end. I just want demi-humans of all kind to be added :D

I chose Reptilian mid-beastmen, but I'd really like to see at least an artwork of it. Viera is too much similar to Miqo'te in my opinion, and the mixed race could be quite strange. :p

I didn't think to a scaly race (Reptilian beastmen), but something a little difference (mid-beastmen)... As we have Miqo'te (Human - Cat) I'm curious to see something different, as stated in the poll (Human with pale red skin and little horns instead of Cat ears :P)

As far as beastmen would go, meh why not

As far as playable races go, Hellsgaurd roegadyn already fits the role. It would be nice if you could add horns to them in customization.

I was tempted by this.. Very much.. But then i was like no thank you keep it as it it with more variations.. The is no mention of vieras in the lore so far
