I was really happy to read that they updated the UI for retainers to be more responsive...until I logged in and tried it. I can't believe that they went through the trouble of doing a QoL pass on retainers and LEFT IN THE COMPLETELY POINTLESS "FLAVOR TEXT" for each retainer you call.
It adds two clicks to every single transaction and serves zero purpose. Has anyone grown fonder of their retainers because of the same repeated line they give you at the beginning and end of every transaction? THIS is what makes multiple retainers most clunky. I swear, sometimes I think that Japanese devs think they get paid by the number of clicks a user has to make when they design UI elements, lol.
TLDR: PLEASE REMOVE the flavor text for retainers or at least add the option to disable as it adds multiple needless clicks for every transaction and the only flavor is adds is irritation. xP

I don't care about the flavor text at all. You can just spam click through it. What bugs me about the update is that you have to actually check the retainer to see how much money it has, which makes that feature pretty much useless. I thought it was going to provide me with an easy way to check which retainers had sold stuff without having to remember how many items they had when I logged off. Storing money on retainers is utterly pointless unless you're server transferring.

It's especially obnoxious if you have several retainers. My main issue was the fact that they did a pass with the UI to make it "more responsive" by a fraction of a second but left the multiple text to click through for every retainer you call? The gil not updating to me feels completely unintended. At least, I hope so. There's no reason for all except an extremely small amount of players to store gil on a retainer...I'm tired of having to summon retainers just to see what they may have sold.

To add to this, I'd really, REALLY love the ability to disable the Venture Complete music. I mainly interact with my retainers in my house, and it's very annoying to have that cacophonous fanfare on top of whatever is playing on the orchestrion at the time.
