Housing

Any word on when they'll open housing on the server ?

Opened a thread about the matter a few days ago.

No info as of yeti.

My personal thoughts are that housing will not open until week commencing July 8th at the earliest in order to allow time for the expansion release "stress" to die down a bit.

I would guess when they change the status of the World to Standard, maybe sooner. But I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a month or two, maybe three.

Thought it could be around 5.1, but we'll see. Nothing was mentioned yet.

Yeah, nothing mentioned but my guess is 5.1 as earliest as well. More interested if they will open it for Twintania and Spriggan at the same time or really take server population into consideration as Spriggan still is pretty empty.

The dev have forgotten our homes, it's just hell with our servants filled, impossible to grow the chips, we can not advance on the aircraft etc, always a communication problem ....

I seriously don't think they forgot, lol.

They said they wanted to wait so to give a chance to everyone. They knew people would migrate to those server and jump on the 'easy' housing the second the servers would be out.

I want housing to be available soon, but I understand the devs' decision too.

Sure i understand too, but 2 week is too much for farm money for "new players", and he get 1M gils when he create a new charr here !

And, i buy a patreon, i want to have access at all !

I'm guessing in patch 5.1 ...

Well that's not how it works love, sorry.

We all have to wait and it's the same thing for everybody. Just be patient, it'll be available soon.

The 1 million Gil that is given once per data centre when a character hits level 30 on a new world does not last for long when you are trying to take advantage of the road to 70 buff and level up DoH as well as DoL classes at the same time as working through the MSQ. Sadly the gates to "easy money" do not open to real new characters until they progress quite far into jobs or DoH/DoL classes.

I am playing a character that was created on June 18th and at the moment I am level 74 Bard, just about to complete the Stormblood main content. I have DoL at 60, 57 and 54 and DoH from 46 to 17. Funding gear upgrades for the multiple DoL classes (whilst not paying the insane prices some crafters are charging for them) means that I am currently sitting on 1.7 million Gil which I know is nowhere near enough to for even the smallest and poorest class plot.

It will be a long, long time until I have the same insane amounts of Gil that those who transferred over to the world have saved up to buy houses.

And ? everyone can buy or trade with other player in other server lol, by definition the trade is broken with this system xD

Oh boy, new furnishings and submersible voyages to enjoy in patch 5.05!

Oh wait...

(like they can't even, bare minimum, give us access to apartments?)

I thought back then that we'd get it sooner, but it seems we're still waiting.

A shame really, but perhaps it will be available at 5.1. Let's hope it will be.

5.1 is the safer bet.

Right, had i known that it would take not days, not weeks but MONTHS before we had housing I would not have come to twintania.
1. I have retainers flooded with furniture
2. FC workshop? No dears... your missing out on content
3. Gardening? - new hydrangeas and clouds breath for flying mount...? No I'm missing on that too
4. Not to talk that all the new nice furniture

To be fair, Shirogane housing (despite being able to visit the area during that time) was not added until the following October, around 3 months after the expansion had been released. Granted it was a game-wide addition and not specifically to a couple of worlds, but considering how long it is taking now I'm kinda expecting 5.1 again to see anything happen.

Not sure which world you transferred from AguaDoce but I probably wouldn't have gone ahead with it straight away if housing was your main aim of moving. Could have been safer to stay where you were and see if housing opens up there or if not at least wait it out there till the new worlds got a set date for release then you know when/if you want to transfer.

People can however obtain a room right now in the apartment buildings if they want - whilst a bit more than a room in a FC house you have the advantage of not having to lose it if you leave the FC or it wants to move to another place.

Hence why we need upgradable apartments.

Probably will unlock when 5.1 arrives in late October

Before 5.1there should be a 5.09 I guess. Hopefully it gets implemented there. I am tired of waiting... so many free plots here...

True that, and there wasn't much 'war' going on also. Large plot were taken quickly but I saw many of them still free for a few days after housing opened.

Lots and lots of empty plots atm, awaiting personal housing :D

Yes open the gates already! We are tired of waiting!

So private housing is open for PS4 players with the incoming update, PC still needs to wait a bit.
Anyone excited? I'm not, with my 100k I won't make it in time xD

Private housing for both platforms came yesterday with the arrival of 5.1 (wards 1-18)

Heard there were some mad queues going on, friends were stuck at like 400 to enter the game :x

Only the minute the servers opened, at least for Twintania. It was back to normal a few minutes afterwards.
