Trust System, not what I thought, Well played

Yeah so when they talked about this system it was advertised to be for folks that didn't like waiting around all day to get their dungeon quests done that are in the middle of the main story line. I bought this game way back when it originally released and immediately quit within the first few weeks because of this very issue. Years later they introduce this new trust system and I thought hey they finally are fixing the only issue the game has. So I foolishly purchased the expansion only to realize I have been scammed. The trust system is non existant during the start of the game and those queues I quit over are still there waiting for me. Well played they stole my money won't be fooled by another expansion that claims to fix anything from square ever again.

They did say the trust system is only available for ShB dungeons only.

They said repeatedly that it would only be for ShB dungeons. Also, what bad queues are you even talking about? I genuinely can't think of any MSQ dungeon I've ever had to wait more than 15 minutes for, and DPS always have longer queues no matter what game it is.

I suggest doing more than 5 minutes of research on a feature you are basing your entire purchasing decision on.

They're not great right now for anyone but healer, but I'm sure that will even out once DPS trying GNB go back to being DPS (I mean, it happened with DRK's introduction).

That was you mistake, they repeatedly stated that the Trust system was only for the expansion dungeons. You have to get to the ShB area before you can use it.

OP is trolling,right? I mean you buy an MMO and then want play solo just because you either cant handle other players or cant wait few minutes till start window pop up for dungeon? you know you can do so many other things while you wait for tank/healer?

I too spend money without doing any research whatsoever and then blame everyone else for my stupid mistake.

On the plus side...

The money that they "Stole" from you can now go towards funding their decision to expand the Trust system to pre-5.0 MSQ dungeons.

Which you'd know about if you had actually researched into what the Trust system actually was and the fact that it was currently only for Shadowbringers dungeons.

We have Trust content for some below ShB content. It's called Squadrons.

Also if you don't want to deal with queues play a Healer or a Tank. It's that simple. Be a class that isn't played as often and you'll get fast queues. Play a DPS like everyone else and wait.

That's the problem.. Don't wait around. Just play the game while queued. I just did my first MSQ dungeon for SHB yesterday, and I have no idea how long my DPS queue took because I was questing and completely forgot I was queued.

In fairness, aren't squadrons gated behind finishing Ultimate Weapon? They're really not quite so helpful when you need to get through much of that content first to unlock it.

But it's cool that they can do HW dungeons, at least.

They provided a solution for this ages ago, spending money in their shop. Expecting SE to make anything in an expansion expand further than said expansion is the issue, they've always developed in what is a very "pile things on top and ignore the old" way

I'd call it being inefficient as the game probably wont feel right for new players eventually on top of the excess of dead end content and systems they introduced like squadrons. (They should have dropped this and expanded It as a trust system for all dungeons but that's more development time).

I'll be honest and say SE forums are the worst place to complain. People will defend the lack of work put into the game rather than say oh yeah itd be nice to have this feature. Why didnt they? Lol but if they take away your Male viera you better watch out.

I played FFXI for years. Trust me, there are no long waits in FFXIV.

In germany we say" Wer lesen kann ist klar im vorteil" which translates to"Who can read has a clear advantage".

They literally wrote that the trust system is only shb oml.

Aside from it being 5.0 , is it still everything they say? I have not finished stormblood endgame yet. Will I really get to team up with NPCs instead of real people? I assume it won't be available for boss trials. I can't find any more info and I haven't gotten there yet. Anyone?

i used it once last night and really enjoyed it. It made the story more immersive for me to run it with the character for the first time.

Trust System in Short = everything is harder, takes longer and is less rewarding.
There is no real point in doing this stuff except for no waiting times.

Right now queues for all old dungeons and raids are longer than usual because everybody (and their chocobo) is busy going through the new MSQ.

Yeah, I always thought it was silly that they were implementing this just for content that isn't going to need it.

I find it very useful. Great for the first time doing a story dungeon when you want to go slow and take it all in. Also in the future for when ppl want to go in blind and everyone else has done the dungeons a million times and are rushing / bypassing mechanics.

I'm hoping all content eventually has this system with the exception of Savage.

It isn't a scam, you must read the patch note and the summaries of live letter, before coming to complain. This is for the MSQ of 5.0 only (Shadowbringer).

It's like people don't read disclaimers under contracts.

How the hell were you fooled they said right up front the trust system is literally(actual Literally) only for Shadowbringers Dungeouns. I mean it would seem to me side from being impatient and slightly spoiled you cant even be bothered to actually pay attention to whats being said about product features.

Its because dungeouns are needing to be manually reset by staff atm.

They might be referring to the "Party Finder Sellers" which why would I spend a amount of gil for something that isn't going to last my until the next expansion? Even glamour lasts longer the those Party Finder Sellers, and the glamour is usually made by crafter mains...

As someone who works with billing frequently, this is how you spot someone who lacks basic understanding of how life in general works. No one stole your money. You just didn't do your part and properly inform/educate yourself.

This sounds more like a case of "I did not do enough research." I'm not even gonna bother going into how ridiculous of a complaint this is.

The Trust system was advertised as being only for the new story dungeons so IDK sounds like you scammed yourself.

They've talked about going back and making it retroactive to old dungeons if there's enough demand for it, but it might be in place of some other feature, since it's pretty expensive to script. In any case that's not something they're currently working on so it would be a long way off, if it ever happens.

To be fair, I too did not do research before spending money. I didn't check out the battle voices of Viera before I fantasia'd XD Luckily it wasn't voice 7

Realy only 15min?
30-50min Primetime with Dancer for 61,63,65er Dungeon and they are MSQ Dungeons.
