Or at least allow us to see her name tag while in combat.
Yeah not being able to see when Eos/Selene are summoned makes it kind of difficult to see when they are out.
I'm no stranger to placing eos somewhere specific and then forgetting to hit heel. This just makes it so it's even harder for me to tell I forgot to call her.
Not surprised I'm not the only one to have this cross my mind.
Yeah. I'm visually impaired, and making her out against the background of everything else is near impossible now. I've been maining sch since 2.3ish, but honestly I think this just made the class unplayable for me. I don't understand why we can't even have the option to show names still.
You can turn on pet names during combat, that's still there in the options. But definitely sometimes the pets can get lost in the heat of things and you aren't sure where they are or what they are doing.
Edit: for the above, just tested it. The name shows outside of combat but not during, even though the options has a "only during battle" option.
Not sure about adding it to the party list again.... but it would be nice to have a buff showing in the statuses to representative if you have a pet summoned, kind of like how AST has their sects showing etc.
They're going to have to add some updates if they are not going to have Eos/Selene in the party list. That said, now that we can no longer deploy off of Lily and pets take no damage, I honestly don't need to see her in my party list, but I do need to clearly see when she's out especially with the change to Dissipation and the addition of Seraph. The party list was what I previously looked at to make sure Lily was out if I was not certain, but the fairy gauge used to be an indicator as well. Unfortunately, unlike in SB the fairy gauge is present full-time now, even when Lily is not on the battle field.
TBH, I can't really recall pets taking damage being something that was complained about. Lily hardly took damage in most scenarios I was in. She would get her but kicked in PoTD and certain raids though, but I liked that. Eating her when she's was nearly a goner felt like a sacrificial act that empowers the SCH. A bit morbid I know, but I watch a lot of anime.
I never had an issue with having to resummon Lily after a Dissipation because I always considered her a part of the party. It was so underutilized that I considered it akin to a rezz and would swiftcast it.
While we're at it... what's up with the weird showing of MP in the party frame? the last 3 0's are on another line for some reason
It just looks off, i hope they change that back
As mentioned elsewhere, I wonder if simply having her teleport to you and then auto /heeling when you run out of range would be the simple fix for this. I always remember WoW and EQ handling this issue in a similar manner and it just makes a bit more sense imho.
This pet issue just prove that nobody at SE are playing healer .... Im pretty sure they don't even have an job designer for healer and just do ramdom shit.
I have this feeling too atm. The way they designed SCH is just horrible.
It doesn't feel like SCH, not having the complexed gameplay, the DPS skills(hybrid style) and now the fairy. They take everything of SCH but why? Does anyone in SE play SCH? Or even any Healer?
They just have to get the fairy back on the party frame, the abilities back to the pet hotbar and maybe don't make your invulnerable, but if they want to keep that, let her atleast feel like a pet and not this heal bot turret thing. My brother today didn't even notice not having the fairy and he even said that it doesn't matter at all.
The way SCH is atm feels terrible and for him SCH is dead atm. They need to reverse so many changes and get SCH back to what the core and lore of SCH is.
probably a dumb question, but why does it matter if she (or other pets) aren't in the party list?
I heard it's sometimes hard to tell if she's still there when not in party list, when her name can't be viewed, etc. Also, what's the purpose of not being able to click on the fairies anymore?
I can barely see her even with the name on and it's easier to tell she is around when she is visible in the party list. At the moment I only know she is around because Fey Illu and Whispering are lit up.
Didn't play 5.0 scholar yet. But is there something you need to target eos for? Like sustain? If there is, PS4 user would go insane without her on the party list...
guees you wont need eos in party list cause you not going to heal it anymore, pets dont take damage, so its pointless see in party formation.
Having a buff icon pop up like it did with shield/sword oath could help. It's hard for me to tell at a glance if I have the damn thing up, especially since she falls so far behind when I move.
She's essentially a passive buff now anyway, might as well treat it like one.
The only way around the issue that i've seen is to focus target her, which does put the arrow above her head, which is extremely inconvenient as most people use that on bosses. Sadly marks don't work on her. The dumbest thing is when you try to manually target her SE already does the right thing and targets yourself with any heals you are using, so the only reason she doesn't show up in either case is to prevent fatfinger targeting her in the first place, whether via mouseover macros or manually moving up and down the party list.
The best solution I can see as a compromise is to set her as always greyed out on the party list while in combat and similarly display her name and tag greyed out over her head and disabling any way to target her during combat by making her body click-through and treat her as if she wasn't on the party list when selecting a target on there. Either one would be acceptable imo, but I'd prefer both for different reasons. Seeing her name on the field helps with identifying where to place her for mechanics quickly. Seeing her name in the party list makes it easier to determine if she's out of range in-between pulls. Both are issues, but which matters more to you can vary depending on the content you engage with the most.
