"Lobby server connection has encountered an error" 5006

I was playing for a few hours.
I got booted from the server and can't log in anymore. I'm getting the error message "Lobby Server Connection has encountered an error" 5006

same here on leviathian. Kicked out, got a 6006, then a 5006 now 2002

It has begun!

Same here, Balmung, was doing a main quest, trying to kill a turtle, the turtle didn't take any damage then i got kicked off the server. Tried to log back in and got lobby errors :\

Yeah, kind of killing me right now. I'm getting lobby issues while my friend is hacking away at enemies and quests.

same issue for me as well, and I thought day 1 was actually going well.

The errors so far have been 6006, 5006, and 2002 here on Behemoth. I'm starting to believe the entirety of Primal might've gone down.

Also, Raubahn is back with a vengeance.

das boot! Does it look like a full server crash across the board?

The Frustrating part.. was 3/4 of the way through Castrum. Everyone in the party crashed. Lobby errors.. several of them, finally get back to a 1000 queue.. finally get back in, to immediately 90k again. I figured it was the instance servers taking a dump.. but i'm stuck in the instance >.<

And for the love of pete sake.. could it be possible to not have the client boot us out so i have to always re-enter my credentials.. such a pain.

Same goes for me and some of my FCmates on Sarg. Seems we're all getting picked off >:O

Same here, been playing for about 4 hours now, and all of a sudden, everyone and their mother was lagging. Next thing I know I'm booted, I can't get into the sever, then I can't get into the data center. I'm on Crystal... I tried to get on my alt on Aether, same issue. Lobby Server errors galore... but it shows the servers are online. x.x

Error 6001 on this end. DDoS.

Also having this issue. Was on and then got kicked off now can't get back on.

The worst part is, it kicks you totally out, so you have to relaunch the game and log in again....which with a token becomes even more annoying the 5th plus time. If you aren't going to let me in at least don't kick me out of the game...I've already logged in.

Honnestly SE, and I don't want to be mean here, but fix your servers !
I mean, every expansion, this s**t happens. Can't you take any measures to avoid massive number of players making your servers crashes? I mean, you know it will happen... and you have time to prepare yourselfs... So why, every time, we have to get servers issues?

Having the same issues with Malboro on the Crystal datacenter.
5006 error code.

They can not be bothered to learn from Heavensward and Stormblood. It had the EXACT same issues. And only because people that left the moment they had nothing new to do, now suddenly come crawling back and cause issues for us LOYAL players that stuck around no matter what. We should be getting our own dam queue!

EDIT: PC btw. In case that matters.

Same here on Famfrit was fine for like 3 hours went and started the msq got to the gates of Crystal and crashed. Went from 5005 to 2002 just now XD.

is it just instanced zones again?

It's not us players that are the issue. Just like at SB launch it looks to be a concentrated DDOS attack. There is absolutely nothing they can do about it.

Same here, Got kicked off, now server error at login. Guessing it may be due to players getting out of school and work on the US east coast, and it will sweep across the country adding more and more people to the load.
Oh well, time to wash clothes and buy some groceries.

There's nothing for SE to fix and it has nothing to do with queues. It's a DDOS attack like at SB launch.

Same on Cactuar — was doing Doma Castle just fine and then suddenly the entire party was dc-ing. I managed to get back in once, disconnected again, and now I can’t even get past the lobby server — keep getting 2002 and 5006 errors.

was smooth from when the gates opened till this happened. but hey already did a good job not repeating the issues we had in SB. Also i think we where in the same party HyoMinPark

I have been playing since the servers came up and there has not been a hitch in anything. Not with the first dungeon, any of the FATES, no lag, nothing. So this is not SE and it is not because it is pre-release. This has all the hallmarks of DDoS

I just played for 30 minutes and got kicked. Try to login and get error codes, 2002, 5006. I've never had this issue, and been playing for 7 years.

Oh I call total BS on the DDoS claims. There's no way for us to verify that and SE crows that same gods damned line every time this happens. I mean it could be that...but seriously...they claimed their new server infrastructure was more robust and basically 'immune' to these kinds of attacks. It's likely they just aren't willin or able to pay for some extra redundancy for these launch events....we'll all keep playin regardless

Same here. Was in an instance, then my entire party disconnected and got the lobby server message. I was finally able to get back in, but constantly stuck in an about to disconnect stage until it booted me again.

change servers like if you were aether change to primal then back and then log on.

Just happened to me on Lamia. 5+ times trying to relog to get "The lobby server connection has encountered and error."

Same here it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to keep waiting on my one time passwords every time it boots me lol

Hm it let me log in through the title screen this time. Now stuck in queue. May kick me out though, but we'll see.

I was in the open world, in a SB area waiting on my friend to finish his quest, just sitting on my chocobo and bam, gone. He is still on but getting big lag and long black screens if he changes zones etc
