I don't know how else to describe it other than to just let you hear it. Be cautious when making your character. Unless you want a giggle when you fight, may be better to avoid this one.

God, all of the Viera voices sound horrible, I think the only decent one is #1.

Yeah, I am not convinced with mine yet either. Some emotes/battle sounds sound like they were done by a different person than the other emotes. Will have to check on alts once I am not busy.

7 might be the most ridiculous one.

Glad I'm not the only one. I was dead set on voice 7. Glad i took the time to make an alt and test it. I felt my friends comment to it was very fitting:

"Easy there, Grandma!"


(Voice 9 was pretty bad too)

And this is why you should test the battle voices first on a dummy character before you commit.

I chose voice 10 and I'm glad I did.

7 definitely takes the cake, but most of the viera combat voices are absolutely atrocious.

SE should add a combat voice preview to character creation AND allow us to choose the combat voice separate from the emote voice so we don't have to sacrifice one or the other to get something we like (or can tolerate).

i went with 2, that one doesn't sound too bad. can only hope they add more/fix these sounds with patches in the coming months. if not, eh, i wont lose sleep over it. i'm content with my voice choice.

I was very tempted to make individual characters like you did OP and test the voices just in case (though I didn't as I assumed I'd be waiting about all day in queues), I was almost set on 7 but I was also deciding between that and 9, thank god I went for 9, but even then, the battle sounds don't sit very well with me still, kind of feel robbed that the voices you hear in the preview for the emotes resemble absolutally nothing of the combat voices, free fantasia please SE.

I also love how in the video they put sideshow bob there for a second where he's walking into rakes, absolutally spot on lol.

Im sobbing with laughter. It's so horribly bad. She sounds like she is dying every time she attacks. Hahahaha

I choose 5, it overall sounded nice. And the battle grunts were actually pretty good. She actually sounded like she was fighting and not "Anime girl with XD face swinging a weapon" noise.

Will say though that it is odd how the battle grunt tends to always sound quite different that the voice style you choose. Not sure why that is...

Lmfao, so glad I tested voices first on alts! 7 didn't seem so bad until I ran over to kill a squirrel. A few more had to die cause I could not believe what I was hearing x.x

I've been laughing and listening to this awful voice over and over for the past hour.

Now I'm seriously considering going Viera just for voice 7. I can park myself on the practice dummy outside my FC house and leave it there all day when I'm at work.

At work and couldn't stop laughing. People in the other clinics were like, you can't be that excited to go home to your game.

This is exactly why the voice samples in the CC should be changed, or at least add the battle grunt sound. It almost seems like a silly tradition that each race should have that one voice that sounds good in the CC but unbearable ingame.

Well, this is the very reason why I was warning people not to fantasia right away and to make a few new characters to test voices first.

Thats what I get for only testing the voices out in the benchmark since I didnt want to wait in a 1 hr queue to test each voice or wait. At least I get to be the first person to play a sheep girl.
