Downloading right now on PS4!

PC Windows as well is downloading. Getting it now before their bandwidth gets bloated from everyone noticing.

Approximately 3GB in size

Edit: Looks like everybody is hammering the server. It went from 15MB/s (4 minutes) down to 0.25MB/s (127 minutes).

And time for my every 5 second launcher error on patch messages.

I think there might be a second patch later, because usually the expansion download is much larger than this.
The 2nd patch would probably be finished by the time I download the 3GB patch, as it's gonna take me with my slow internet, 2hrs and 45mins to download 3GB :<

For what it's worth: getting a little over 8gb on PS4.

PC might be getting theirs in bursts while PS4 gets punched in the gut with 8gb worth

Both PS4 and PC versions downloading for me atm.

Download has slowed quite a bit at everyone is hitting the server right now.

My PC shows 7.53 gigabytes. Download speed dropped from 1.5 MBs to .33 /sad

Also, my dl says 7.5 gigs so I think it's just steadily being increased.

Downloading on PS4 now.

Well my patcher just gave up. Think I'll wait.

Aye, when I cancelled my 2.9GB, and restarted it, it changed to 7.5GB.

7.5gb sounds a bit closer to reasonable. Dunno how much bigger it will get, suppose it depends on file sizes and stuff. 7535.12 MB was what my pc launcher was at last. Can't really patch it fully till tomorrow, regardless.

MY PS4 is fairing better than my PC. PC keeps failing the download. D:

Kinda upset that it shows Derplander and Lyse but the Logo says Shadowbringers...

I'm just downloading it all now and while the download speed is lower than my typical speeds (UK, EU data centre), it's only going to take around 80 mins to download the 7.5GB for Win/PC. As long as it's done before 9-10am BST, I'm not too bothered.

I'm going back to reading my favourite book series to help pass the time :)

I think the reason why the download speed is slow for a lot of people is because so many people are downloading the same thing at once.

Mine started off much lower then I got an error and restarted download and the file this time is 7.5GB's about twice what it was before.

I worry I will not be able to download today because the download keep crashing at certain points with it saying "unable to download [.....] patch".

Not to mention the patch will suddently get very slow with download with it starting from 20 minutes then skyrocket to 200 or more minutes to download.

I think there maybe a issue with the patch files being downloaded due to the revamp towards the entire Classes/Jobs and combat system. However, Day 1 bugs is expect since they did completely revamp the entire combat system in 5.0 at a much larger scale this time.

My download is stable, but I had to quit out of WoW, because the game streaming while playing was killing my speeds. :(

It's still obnoxiously slow for my norm though.

My download is going as fast as my usual max download speed for anything on a good day (0.40mb/s). At least its twice the speed of when I was downloading heavensward a few years back (could only get 0.20mb/s back then).
Obnoxiously slow IS my norm XD

Actually, this is obnoxiously slow to begin with. When I closed WoW it jumped up to being done in under an hour to now 0.28MB/s 425 minutes.

Nice pic, lol. I am torn. I was going to go to bed early so I am not tired in the morning... but then the download was available so late and I am paranoid about it messing up and me not being here. So do I stay up and watch it to make sure it downloads and deal with potentially being a bit tired, or do I go to bed and hope for the best.

There it is finally got an error. I wouldn't recommend sleeping through this download unless you don't want it to get done. My speeds are fast again now... will they hold?!

Looks like that is a no. They are actively going down 1MB at a time..

FYI, on PC, if you didn’t buy ShB you still have about 3 Gb to download

I got an error too, but restarting and I am at 3.5m download speed *crosses fingers*

Mine's 15,156.5 MB , but I didn't have Stormblood so that's probably why mine is larger.

Gettings errors too, but keep trying. The download does remember how much it's got beforehand, you don't have to start all over.

Finally got past some choke point. Speeds at 23MBs and will be done in 9 mins (Supposedly anyways).

Mine's like 65% complete and it says it's gonna take 8 minutes to finish.

I can't wait for this bad boy to finish downloading so I can head to sleep. :o
