So we all know the reason behind Hrothgar and Viera not being able to wear helmets and the issues that it came with, so I was wondering will they eventually add this? Or will they be helmtetless forever? Regardless I like how both classes turned out but i would've liked more beast like feet for hrothgar though.

It's planned that the rest of the headgear will be implemented at some point. They also can wear glasses (as the poster above me said, devs went behind Yoshi-P's back for them and other items) and any helmet that replaces the head, so Chocobo, Namazu, Moogle...

Hoping we get quite a few common and paid for hair for Viera in 5.1. I love the current hairstyles but we need more variety to not make so many of them look the same.

Frans headpiece is "just" a hairstyle. They already added a bunch of headgear and probably will add more in the future. :) So heads up!

I think Hrothgar might have inherent design issues with headgear due to the way their manes have been 'built into' the head model rather than being a separate interchangeable piece of the model, as it is for the other characters.
When other characters wear hats, some or all of the hair model is "turned off" or it would clip through the hat, and Hrothgar might not have that sort of control available to them.
That may come under the "headpieces that replaces the entire head model will be visible" rule? Since you can't see the character's face at all, and there's no visor option.Quote:

So I can understand not making headgear from 1-70 due to time constraints, but 71+ should have been in game. The devs had new gear to design and they knew all the races they had to design it for. I'm grateful to the devs that made some gear on their off time (give them a bonus SE) but disappointed that 71+ wasn't apart of the official design schedule.
Going forward though I believe they should first put priority on Job (DoW / DoM) and Class (DoL / DoH) armor sets, Achievement sets, Veteran Reward sets, Special Event sets, Blues from vendors (Raids, Tomes). -
