New MCH Rotation for 5.0?? How will you be setting up based on Patch Updates?

So I am reading over the new job updates, but can't get a clear idea of how to rework my ROT. I understand we will all need to experiment a bit, but from what I can tell...

Still Open with Wildfire-->Hot Shot--> Rotate through Spit Shot/Slug Shot/Cleat Shot and when triggered pair with Reassemble or Gauss Round. When Heat is built up rotate through the Heated Split/Slug/Clean but now we can insert Auto-Crossbow?

Sorry I am probably not explaining myself well at all or not even hitting the mark here, just throwing out ideas.

Anyone who plays MCH know how they will set up their ROT for 70 based on the changes?

I'm pretty sure if you're over a certain level, you just have the 'headed' versions of Hot Shot etc... From what I understand, you just need to lvl up to upgrade them. Or rather, as you are MCH 70 already, you'll already have the good versions.

Yeah it seems like the heated versions are now the default at level 70 I think. Honestly, from what I am seeing my ROT isn't going to change all that much.

Our rotation is now looking completely different, and it's probably based off of using Drill to start each part. The 121 323 rotation looks to be dead also, but we won't know enough about it until we have made new theories based upon the new guides and tested them.

Opening with Drill (ricochet/Gauss Round)-> Air Anchor (Barrel Stabilizer/ Ricochet) -> Heated Shot Combo (Burn Rico/Round charges, then Wildfire/Hypercharge right before you know TA happens, Drop combo if necessary) -> Heated Blast Spam(alternate Gauss Round/Richochet based on charges) -> Drill (More Rico/Round spam if needed) -> Flamethrower seems optimal to me if TA remains the same. You'd want to get Wildfire’s Detonation and Drill/Air Anchor under TA if possible but you also want to be using the latter skills as much as possible. They aren’t worth holding for TA in the opener so they don’t get to align well typically. Don’t think Flamethrower’s worth using early with that much channel duration. May not even be worth it at all? It certainly holds back too much w/ little payoff for ending the channel early. Even with the fast tick rate and extra potency Heated Blast and Ricochet/Round are simply better burst. It snapshots buffs well but that’s about it. Beyond that you’ll be using your robot and Hypercharges under TA where possible, keeping the 20/40/60s Weaponskills on CD, and keeping one charge of Rico/Round around for those Hypercharge windows unless you know about upcoming downtime.

So, what about "autocrossbow" ?

It looks like a strictly worse version of spread shot, with spread shot being able to be gotten at a lower level... I can't find a single reason to use it, ever.

Auto Crossbow has a 1.5 sec recast, Spread Shot is 2.5 seconds.

Yup, but that dosen't matter, because both are on GCD. You can't use the autocrossbow faster then the GCD. When you use it, same spinny timer as everything else. So it don't matter how short the recast is, if you can't use it for another 2 seconds.

The little spinny timer is the recast. When you use Spread Shot, you wait 2.5s (reduced by SkS), when you use Auto Crossbow, you only wait 1.5s.

That's not correct. Remember when Machinist had Rapid Fire (yesterday?) It reduced Weapon Skill recast time to 1.5 seconds. And it was very noticeable. Same idea here. Go watch a media tour video and see Auto Crossbow for yourself.

If what you said were true, then why would anything in the game be listed with a recast of less than 2.5 seconds? The Global Cooldown of 2.5 seconds is a generalization because most skills have a 2.5 sec recast and it's the "default" in combat. That number is not absolute.
