Today Is Patch Day!

For WoW!

And in three more days, Shadowbringers is launching as well!

At the moment, my game plan is to split 2 1/2 hours between FF14 and WoW. Do you have a gameplan for today or the 28th?

Gameplan for the 28th wake up at 430am an level till I'm 80 hopefully by midnight

The majority of people here really couldn't care less about WoW.

We care only about SHB.

I hope WoW dies as punishment for all the interesting Non-WoW MMO's they've killed off over the years.

Never do this. I did this last year with SB and ran into a 1000+ brick wall and Raubhann Extreme topped with constant disconnects the first day. I drank energy drinks hoping to wake up early and enjoy the game but ended up being just being unable to play and wired off of Monsters so I couldn't sleep either. lol.

It was an experience...but I learned my lesson. First day expansion releases rarely go smooth so have a backup just in case things don't work go accordingly.

My gameplan...I did take the weekend off to play. I'll wake up game day and HOPEFULLY things go right. If so, I plan on enjoying the story and just taking in all the new sights, locales, job changes, etc. And leveling my DRK to 80.

Considering this is an FFXIV forum, they probably do speak for the majority. At the very least, they're far more interested in FFXIV than WoW.

If you actually want to talk about how people want to spend their first day in Shadowbringers, why not pick that as a title and topic for your thread instead of a missleading and confusing references to a patch day that isnt in any way related to this game? I'm pretty sure people wouldnt mind sharing their "game plans" with you (actually, there already kinda is a thread about that, I think? If not several), but there is no reason to feature WoW so much when people in this forum clearly care more about FFXIV - or else they'd be playing and posting in the official WoW-forums...

Out of curiousity: I'd love to see how the "reverse thread" of this goes down in the official WoW-forum - "Friday is patch day - ...for FFXIV which will take up half my time now"!

If you punch your PC/Console extremely hard as your character loads into an area they level up to the max level immediately.

It's patch day for a trash game with a story written by 5 year olds featuring unfun and unrewarding gameplay dominated by the all encompassing RNG.

This pathetic patch is, frankly, a fart in comparison to the tornado of an FFXIV expansion.

I stopped playing WoW, they had plenty of time to learn to write and add housing and chose not to.

But for ShB I'm taking a week of PTO specifically so I don't have to "plan" anything.
Just going to do whatever I feel like doing when I log in, only real goals are to finish MSQ on my main and cap FSH.

Hey guys wanna talk about WoW on a forum for FFXIV : DDD

Work, go home then play on my soon to be bunny alt and keep pushing through MSQ and eat dinner and sleep.

It'll take more than a patch to make me go back to that game, the underlying issues of RNG (Titanforging/Warforging) and garbage class design are not going to be fixed in a patch, it's going to take a new expansion and even then I wouldn't get my hopes up as long as that lawyer (Ion) is in charge, he'll still think he knows best while driving the game further into the dirt.

Separate half of your PTO time and give WoW a gander. I found that playing 2 MMORPG's at once is quite fun.

This is simply untrue. My apologies ...

The folks (including myself) who use this forum are a vocal minority.

Now to correct your fallacious statement, the majority are off doing their own thing. Their levels of interest in WoW and FFXIV is entirely unknown to any of us.

...why would you say that so someone who has given you a serious answer, stating that they want to take their time with FFXIV and enjoy the new expansion without needing to rush anything and specifically arent intrested in WoW anymore?

Sounds like this truely is just another of those shameless "WoW-advertisment"-threads that come creeping out of the woodworker lately...

Patch day for some other crappy game, not this one! :D

Thursday I will go shopping for easy cook meals, energy drinks, snacks and such.
Friday I will instantly swap to Viera, then enjoy the MSQ and quest my BLM to max lvl as fast as possible. After BLM, i think im starting with crafters and gathering. Then GUN and DNC ^^

So much fun to look forward too

As for WOW, the developers has made it impossible for me to return/try WOW again. I quit in 2011, and I started XIV in 2011 hehe
The devs of WOW needs to seriously rethink their attitudes, but seeing as Blizzard no longer has anything to say to the Activision overlords, their games will become greedier and less content. I cannot support Blizzard anymore with them having a record breaking finanical year by sacking 800+ people. Then when they needed to hire people to fill those same roles, they didnt give the ones fired a chance to decline or accept to return :(

Pitty really as I did love WOW and it was the game that made me open up to play MMORPG and accept paying a monthly sub to play a game

I am sorry.

I was merely suggesting that he gives another MMORPG a gander. I feel like my tone of voice coupled with my suggestions are offending people like you. That's not my intent, and so once again, I apologize. When Stormblood launched, I balanced my time between the two MMORPG's that I enjoyed the most.

Shadowbringers in a few days too, so I am getting done as much as I can in the new zones. Once Early Access starts my hands are going to be completely tied with FF14 content!

I'm confused to why multiple threads are popping up about WoW on the FF14 forums, i get that we have "WoW refugees" here, but still...WoW also has their own forums if you want to be hyped about it, just kind of feels like someone trespassing in your garden when you see threads like this lol.

I was just saying how little wow gets brought up here compared to ffxiv being brought up there. Wish I didn't say it now cuz this is what the 3 or 4 post I've seen since then....

Well, you simply sound a lot like you want to talk about WoW, not FFXIV - suggesting to someone that they should go and try playing a game they've given up on again (with reason) is only hitting that mark again. If you want to chat about WoW I'm sure they have official forums for that. If you want to chat about FFXIV this here is the place to be. So... pick what game you want to talk about and find the right place to do it?

May I also point out that you werent suggesting "another MMO" but WoW specifically? Sorry, maybe you have good intentions or just want a conversation and its all going over my head but to me this reads a lot like you're trying to (re)-recruit people for WoW. I vaguely recall a thread from a couple of days ago that was basically a plea to everyone who came to FFXIV from WoW to go back and dont let the game die - that probably left a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to this whole issue aswell.
