What are your pre-launch plans and then Early Access priorities? So excited!

So, I thought it would be fun to share what everyone is doing in prep for ShB and what they plan to do for Early Access Weekend?

My Pre-Launch

1. Max Out Poetics, Mendicity and Genesis Tomes so I can purchase remaining i380 and i390 upgrades when everything converts to poetics.
2. Have Fantasia Ready for my Transformation into Viera

Early Access

1. Wake up at 2 AM EST in preparation for access to go live
2. Immediately use Fantasia and create my Viera
3. Get Dancer and Gunslinger unlocked (do we know where this happens yet? How do we find the job giver?)
4. Use the MSQ XP Bonuses and Roulette to get DNC to Level 70 first (yay XP earring)
5. Learn my new Machinist Rotation (I main MCH).
6. Hopefully, start the new MSQ as MCH or DNC (if I like it) and get to level 75 before official launch day (wishful thinking I know)

**Most important** Prepare for long queues, disconnects and general frustration :P

as a tip, use your fantasia before maintance, it wont dissapear on you dont worry. because afterwards youll be stuck in the 3k+ queue again

GUNBREAKER will start in Gridania, Dancer probably in Limsa, they've put too many things in Ul'dah already.

Pre-Launch: Finish getting enough moogle tomes for a white lanner. Leaving it for the last minute to see what I get in roulettes beforehand, then I can just grind out the rest in Syrcus Tower.

Launch: Dive right into the story before too many spoilers start circulating. Haven't decided what job to go with. Guess I'll see how I feel on Friday.

Pre-launch: round off my moogle tome amounts and buy stuff. Get my alt through the last few 4.X patches. Groan at all the IRL stuff that has landed in my "absolutely must do this week" pile.

Launch: Straight into MSQ. May turn off FC chat and treat it as a single-player game... as much as I can through the horde of other players crowding out my quest objective.

(Though a little torn on whether I'd take the time to get my alt through 4.5 if I'm not there by launch day.)

Prelaunch: Sleep

Early access: Watch the game crash Friday and Saturday. Give up and do bi-weekly DnD game saturday afternoon and evening. Watch a 12 hour patch on sunday/monday to "fix errors".

Launch: 80 on Paladin or Warrior and finish msq as fast as possible. 80 every crafter and gatherer and unlock books. Make $.

Before the update, suffer through some runs in Rabanastre and Ridorana for coins to upgrade some gear.

After the update, unlock Gunbreaker, get it to 70 to start going through Shadowbringers MSQ with it.

Additional immediate priority: to the marketboard for glamours!

Play MSQ until I hit The Raubahn of Darkness of this Expansion, then unlock and play around with DNC until they unfeck the bottleneck. Assuming the Server hamster doesn't croak first.

Already done with Pre-Launch.

Early Access, I'm going to bum rush the main story as DRK. Because everybody is doing Gunbreaker and Dancer, I need to quickly get to endgame so I can ride those glorious healer queues for a few weeks and max out the healers.

I thought the stones were being reset back to 0 on launch day? Or did I misread that detail?

Anyways.

Pre-launch:
-Currently levelling Bard to 70.
-Figure out a new name for my Viera.
-Finally settle on a design for my Viera (its really hard dang it).

Early Access:
-Set alarm for 9AM (BST for me), grab breakfast and snacks for later in the day.
-Smash the login button faster than I've ever smashed anything before.
-Go immediately to the DNC quest giver and marvel in the DNC gear.
-Probably start MSQ, if not then do a couple dungeons to get a feel for DNC/GNB.

I'm covering oncall for a coworker next weekend. Pre-launch, I will be gathering up all the lalafells and making sacrifices to the gods that my phone doesn't ring next weekend.

Previous expansion tomes (in this case, Mendacity and Genesis) will no longer be attainable. You'll be able to trade them in for Poetics at a reduced rate. They'll be deleted entirely in a later patch. Everything that was bought with them until now will instead be purchased with Poetics.

I don't have much in the way of plans. Just do my roulettes, level my alts nice & easy like... and then when I can make my 2 new races, make them, level them, and wait for about 3-4 weeks before continuation of the story on my 2.0 main. xD

play other games spend time with my family since I will be on vacation. Followed by 4 to 5 hours of sleep then early access time for a good 4 to 5 hours followed by more sleep. :D

Hmm. I suppose:

Pre-launch:
—Finish capping Poetics and Genesis (Mendacity has been capped for some time now)

June 27th:
—Get up and check for the patch downloads
—Stockpile food and drinks
—Rest up as much as I can

June 28th:
—Get up early to convene with my friends in Discord and spaz as we watch the minutes tick by as slow as molasses
—Die while we’re waiting in the 3,000+ queues on Aether
—Spaz once we finally get into the game
—Unlock and power DNC to 70 and gooooooo!!

- Fantasia to bunny
- Unlock GNB
- Try to level it to 70 as the instance servers scream in pain
- MSQ

If G'raha EX or Lyra Savage is a thing that happens, try to start leveling DNC. I want to go through the MSQ with DRK in the event there's unique dialogue for it, so that's the fallback if the GNB intro is a duty bottleneck like SAM/RDM.

I'm actually starting to be more enthralled with Gunbreaker over Dancer. We shall see. I love being a MCH and rarely venture into new roles, but the new MCH is going to be like learning it all over again. So will probably lock down my rotation for MCH then start leveling Gunbreaker and Dancer to see what I like more.

Can't wait to be my Viera. She's going to be so awesome.

Pre-launch: Make as many people facepalm as I possibly can.

Post-launch: Make as MANY people facepalm as I possibly can.
