About special looking houses exterior

Hi, i recently came back to the game and i was able to get a house back, a small estate in Lavender Beds. There is a thing that always bothered me, and that thing is the special looking houses exterior like the Paissa one, the chocobo one, the carbuncle.. and most of all the Oriental one.. I feel like they are not estetically pleasing and not in line with the theme of each district, also the oriental ones are very tall and in my opinion they often ruin the landscape. I remember in my old house i had one house below of mine that, after changing to oriental, will cover most of the wiew.
I was curious to know what people here in the forum think about the matter. Do you share the same feelings or i am the only one? :)

I really love my small Carbuncle House. Let people have fun with what look they like for the property they paid for, you have enough trouble with 'but all houses in this district need to have red roof tiles' rules in real life.

Yeah, I kinda agree, but at the same time, I don't mind it. People put whatever they want, but for me, I make sure that my house blends in the surrounding. For exemple, I recently bought the odder otter house walls, it goes really well with the Lavender Beds surroundings. I think the Carbuncle and the Chocobo ones fit more in The Mist, or Goblet. Paissa and Odder Otter in Lavender. And the Shirogane set in Shirogane (thought depending on the colors of the roofs, it could probably fit anywhere really).

But that's really a personal taste more than anything. :)

I asked friends to buy up all the smalle houses around my mansion to make sure I wouldnt end up with a paissa-house next door...

I like some of the designs though - the carbuncles are cute and the Shirogane castle looks pretty (even though it is very tall and I can see that being annoying when it blocks your view). The restaurant/smith ones are also okay. And the otter is just amazing (because otter).
I could live without chocobo and moggle, but they dont bother me as much as the hideous Paissa...

But at the end of the day: to each their own. I'm sure a lot of people think that the generic styles that are bound to the areas are boring so they rather put something flashy or "funny" up.

To each their own. I'm not a huge fan of many of the custom houses, but I really do like the Odder Otter walls, the Shirogane walls, and the eatery/smithing/merchant walls. I like having options outside of the three, especially if I'm not a huge fan of the the three default themes in an area.

I could do without giant Chocobo, Paissa, or Moogle houses but some people like that sort of stuff. It's their game, too, so I just take it as whatever.

You'll pry my shirocastle walls from my cold dead hands. XD. All joking aside I can see how it can be aggravating to have a nice view then BOOM Shiro house blocks it. Unfortunately there isn't really anything you can do about it but move yourself or hope the owner changes their mind.

My ward is slowly turning into Paissaville and while I don’t like it there’s no housing association to enforce visual cohesion.

Sabotender themed unique house exterior, will probably look especially great in goblet, as well as other housing districts :D

There is this ugly chocobo house on the other side of the bridge at my gridania apartment and i always have to see thi ugly, yellow backside of the house. Ruins the view completely D:

One day I was looking for a new FC. I hate voice chat, so I was looking for a FC wich does not use voice chat at all. I saw this FC advertisment, had a little chat with the FC master and joined. When I teleported the first time to the FC house to look how they live, I realized... this FC I just joined owns that ugly chocobo house wich ruins my view!
I was for 2 years in that FC. But sadly I was not able to convince the FC to change the housing skin... >.>

It would be nice if there were more plain house styles to choose from in each district. Instead of the 3 exclusively one we have.

I have to admit, the chocobo house is probably the ugliest imo. I enjoy the other ones (the moogle is meh) but I really don't like the chocobo one.

But you know, I just let people enjoy things...
And hoping no chocobo houses will be in my view... :D

Different people like different things. Only one I have a real complaint with is the Shiro castle walls because of the excessive height, though fortunately I'm in a spot that another house will never be able to block my view.

Let people choose what they like. It's pretty much like how things are in real life unless you live in an area controlled by an extremely restrictive homeowner's association and those areas end up boring because everyone's house ends up looking exactly alike.

I do wish I didn't have a spinning suit of armor from a nearby smithy's roof peeping over my fence (and blocking my view of the Lavender Beds waterfalls.)
