I wonder who did it better. Mr. T of WOW or this new trailer of Tom Holland from Spider-man for the new Shadowbringers trailer? XD

I vaguely remember those old Mr. T WoW commercials. But I found Mr. T himself more interesting than the game. If I wasn't already sold on this game, Hannibal's humor would have at least got me interested.
Hopefully Nigella Lawson or Mary Berry can advertise Culinarian.
Saw this a little while ago... still kind of...
(not saying it's bad, was just surprised/nonplussed)
I personally wouldn't have wasted the $100k+ they used to make this.
It's such a ps3-like commercial where they try to tell you what to do. If there's a commercial type I hate it's the one that tells me what to do.
Just show off the game and let us decide if it looks fun to play.
What is with the marketing teams decision to use live action elements to advertise the game? This isn't the first time it's been done with this game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtrYnyIaA-Q - Japanese live action for 1.0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBI3d5PXs2Y - Probably the cringiest thing they could've done.
Best thing Ever!
This new commercial seems kinda...forced, and was meant to appeal to a younger crowd. Not a bad idea from SE's perspective. Just not my cup of tea. I prefer tv spots which focus on promoting the game more.
In a sense I thing they are trying to appeal to more gamers as a whole. Those that have yet to touch the game in general. And the fact that they used Tom Holland could be cause of all the Avenger's fame and the fact that next month is the latest Spiderman: Far From Home movie.
Haha that one was funny, and well done using an outside of FFXIV popular person (chance to increase fresh blood).
I was exceptionally skeptical when I first read the title of the thread though lol.
Tried watching the video at work, which means sound is off. The closed captioning is.... what even is that?! Guess I'll have to wait til I'm at home. -.-'

Thanks for the heads up lol.
I think its cool that Tom has a non-American English accent. In the movies he sounds like an American. I never would have guessed. The best actors usually sound different and take on different personalities. For instance im not really a fan of Tom Cruise because his voice and personality are usually the same.
While I love Tom Holland, I which the trailer would have represented the game a lot better. It reminds me of that Sony Bluetooth Earpiece trailer where apparently they were talking to each other while playing Black Ops single player...
Though both actors did a good job, and the trailer was amusing, so I guess it's passable.
I still feel like ANet with GW2 holds that claim: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Noh81HcovYY
Tom holland actually plays XIV though. Plus he's really cute.
I thought he was going to give away another spoiler. :p
Mr. Raubahn... I don't feel so good...
I did find it funny how the sword was rediculously large compared to Tom, a classic final fantasy trope of main character having a too-big-to-be-practical sword :P
Do you think as the warrior of darkness, spider-man would wear black? Is this secretly hinting to venom stuff in future spiderman movies? :V
