Can we get a potency boost during solo instanced missions?

Most solo instanced missions force and require healers to mainly attack, despite recent claims about healer roles by Yoshida.

Now that our attacks are being made much more boring, can we get, say, a +100% potency boost to healer attacks whenever we are doing solo instanced content? It would shorten the tedium.

This would be particularly relevant to characters that are below level 60, because their abilities will be retroactively butchered while the design would have remained the same.

Your potencies are still around the same. The only dps class that took a heavy damage loss is ast and they now can boost their damage on a consistent basis so I'd imagine it'd be around the same.

Even then, you already have the buff that causes you to regen and deal more damage during several instances fights. And if that's still not enough, you can get the echo when you fail for even more damage.

Aren't you generally given the echo when doing those instances anyway?

The echo alone generally lets you steamroll over everything without much of a problem even without your toolkit. The only instance even with echo I remember being a pain is specifically the SCH lvl 45-50 one with the giant monster in the town that spreads poison. I just remember that one being infuriating but that was also due to me being less inexperienced as a healer since I had lvled SMN mainly.

No, clearly they need to add an NPC that will tank and attack for all instance fights so we can pursue playing healing the way the developers intended.

While leveling a new character, I noticed MSQ instances usually give you around a 20-25% boost as is.

Healer DPS in terms of pure potencies and damage numbers haven't been nerfed that much. We've been able to solo all solo instances and we'll continue to be able to do so. If not then the playtest team would have already caught that problem. The additional echo buff also helps (which is kinda the potency buff you're asking for. It's just not healer exclusive.).

If it's tedious, I want the tedium to not drag on. Doing the Naadam with two offensive moves would be tragicomedy.

Maybe he wants to watch Netflix during the Solo Instances, like 0 DPS Healers are used to that during normal Dungeons?

sorry for butting in, but OP simply asked for solo content be less tedius and boring. i keep on wondering how you trolling the fact that healer doesn't like 1,2 keyboard spam gameplay during solo content for a prolonged time, whilst some Samurai or Ninja can do it faster and with more engaging gameplay of performing real combo rotations

Considering most (almost all) dps and tank solo instances give you a conjurer, arcanist, or random dps npc who has access to Cure and Physick (and a slow hot), yeah. Why shouldn't healers have access to an npc who takes 90% of aggro and cleave off between 3-7% hp off the enemies in a burst hit just to make it go by faster?

As long as the npc is being cleaved as well to make use of said unnecessarily increased healing tools in lieu of personal dps, then sure, at least then we'll be doing what Yoshida wants us to do (despite still being a boring hot mess) without needing to bring up a whole youtube playlist/streaming site/mobile game to lessen that form of tedium and boredom somewhat.

From my experiences today, damage in single player instances should be completely fine. Made it past Titania today, had no problems with any battles at all.
