The Moogle Treasure Trove event has started...

...and it just looks very daunting. Such high prices for everything at such low payouts.

What are the things that are a must for you to grind for?
I'll be grinding a few pets and the Answers music. Not much else.

pets and earrings are gonne be it for me I think.
Have pretty much everything else I think

The two Diadem minions, Pegasus and maybe Answers.

Also World of Darkness glamours.

Amusingly enough, one of my retainers brought back an Answers roll from a quick exploration venture just yesterday. So that's one off the list.

The pegasus is my priority. Then I'll see what else I can snag in time. The earrings don't do much for me, since as an Au Ra with backswept horns, I'd almost never see them anyway.

Reminder: You will not get tomestones if you join a party in progress or enter the dungeon as an undersized party.

Anyone know if you get the tomestone reward if you're placed into a fresh run of the dungeons via roulette?

I went to look at the prices and I saw someone asking in the chat : I have to do these sync'd, right ?

When I said yes, the only answer I got was "oof".

Think Pegasus is at the top of everyone list. Maybe some maps too

Is running the dungeons via DF, synced and not premade is the only options to get those tomestones? ...if so, then I'll be giving this event a miss, sod that :)

Doesn't say anything about DF or premade, but you do have to be synched.

Nothing. Not worth it imo. If i get something from just playing as I usually play, then "yay", but im not grinding this. It's a bit ridiculous. Its probably easier to farm the mounts with my FC. The only other thing id want is the triple triad card stuff. I'll likely grab cards if i actually manage to get enough points. lol.

EDIT: when I wrote this I thought that I'd just discovered the roulette didn't give tomes - I assumed Sastasha was in the list of dungeons, but it isn't. I have since been informed that eligible dungeons DO give tomes in the roulette.

This event just seems mind-bogglingly geared to make you do things in the worst possible way. There goes my plan to earn tomes while leveling my low-level tank. (Well, I still can do that, but... ugh. It was a much better plan when I had an 80% chance of getting an event dungeon via the roulette. Now to decide whether I want to voluntarily put myself through Toto-Rak until I can get into Qarn...)

I don't get why they didn't add Sastasha to the mix. Perhaps because it's too short ? I don't know.

Are there any achievement points related to the event? If not, I may just skip it. Earrings aren't something I want to bother with and I have everything else.

Checked all the 24-man raids, got a near-instant Syrcus Tower pop. Yup, cool, about what I expected. Oh, but I could use a WoD for WT, let's see how that goes. Ehhh, looked like it was going to be a while on that one (probably because Labyrinth/Tower is easier to faceroll?).

Probably just use the opportunity to farm up the rest of the light for this stupid ARR relic I decided to do. Much as I might want some rewards, it'd just be for completionist sake. Probably wouldn't even use the pegasus or minions or anything very often.

Me I'm going for the earrings answers Pegasus and pets n triple Triad cards I figure everything else if I have to grind it through Beast tribe quests so be it.

Moogle treasure hunt, I Make It Rain campaign plus other things I want to get done, ai yi, to quote The Sandlot "You're killin me Smalls!"

I'm getting labyrinth of the Ancients runs in like 5 min.

Knowing Square the earrings will probably be re-released next year or something for 21 gil, so I'm giving them a hard pass.

My focus is on the Pegasus mount and the minions.

I will wait For Earing to be ow Mod Station.

I'm in a free company with airships and subs so I may propose to them that we do some of the Diadem stuff to reduce the amount of synced runs we have to do for stuff.

Not everyone really wants to do unsynced Coil still so I'd rather focus efforts on getting Answers orchestrion roll and the Wind up Calofisteri or have them focus their efforts on beast tribe mounts that they wouldn't get cause they don't want to do the beast tribes.

Aside from the Pegasus I'm not even gonna bother based on the rewards listed.

Main goals are the White Lanner whistle on my WHM alt and the Rose Lanner whistle on my BLM. The less EXs I need to grind to get all of my characters a bird, the better. Maybe go for the Answers roll on my main.

The Pegasus is by far the better item that would be hardest to get for most on the list. As far as means, I figure setting a PF farm party daily and continuously run the MSQ dungeons as with this method at least you can be sure that you have zero sprouts and quickly run through it easier(hopefully) Considering how they made the CSs in the MSQ dungeons unskippable, still unsure if you have a full party of people that have already cleared it & have the settings set to skip viewed cutscenes, if this will skip the CSs and help to make those dungeons bearable.

as it turns out ya can get them from command squadron missions so thats something i guess

I run Syrcus Tower to do it quickly.
I figured its the one raid with the most skippable mechanics (except for Amon where you DO have to hide to evade his attack so you're not instantly dead).

To make it less boring, I change jobs between the runs too :D

I'm going to aim for that pegasus mount and the pegasus minion!

Dino Pet, and the Armor set maybe the barding if i get around to it.
Was lucky to get the Pegasus mount when the Dia was still up and busy
