So you can cure yourself in the field?
Because DNC is support and this AoE heal can save AoE heals from healers and so save MP/ressources for other things?
You can see it as a MP/ressource conservation skill.
It's potency is high enough to be meaningful but in combination with it's cooldown low enough to not replace the healing abilities of the real healers in the party.
i love how they say "dancer using buffs for the party with healer ability. I mean damn they should just made it a healer its explained and shown acting like a healer...

Well, red mage worked despite having abilities that the forums said would make them totally broken or at least as terrible to balance as arcanist, Which could have been three job ( smn=tnk, scl=hlr, arc=dps). Seriously, every job improvement that has been good so far has been the ones that let jobs be who they are, IMO
Arrow card is haste. Slow also doesn't work on many enemies so it would end up being a dead action in later content where it matters. Although you also said in another thread you leave parties when you are AST and so is your cohealer, so not sure you know the job all that well....
Well I'm psyched out.
I suspect it won't live up to my hopes, but after 8 years of having my old Controller main from City of Heroes 'lost in the weeds of a shutdown' - it looks like she's about to get back.
I just wish I could remember my old main's name still... I'd change my character here over to that and be fully ready to go.
BUT...
I suspect this won't be a true support, but be more like BRD: small buffs on a mostly DPS that the community here inflates only because it's been so many years since any MMO had a real support class/job in it.

I suspect a large majority of AST mains would consider 3 single target 6% damage buffs, a party-wide 6% damage buff, and a single target 8% damage buff(values subject to change, obviously) to be infinitely more useful than Draw -> Spire -> Shuffle -> Spire -> groan and Royal Road.
Keep in mind 3/6 AST cards are a damage buff already. Ewer/Spire/Bole are more up for debate what will happen. +Damage, +Crit Chance, and +Skill/Spell Speed are already damage buffs. I'd suspect one will become a direct hit buff. Heck one could be used as a Job Gauge charger since that is usually effectively a DPS gain, and sicne most job gauges are out of 100 pretty easy to add too.
Based on the Job Actions Trailer, its likely that Royal Road and Spread are gone, and possibly Sleeve Draw as well. From the looks of it, it will be more like a slow Mudra of which Single Target cards did you throw out in the past 3 uses. Assuming minimal dev-tools use, Draw's CD has been dropped to under 10s as well. And then some sort of, activation based on which cards have been used recently which will probably be replacing the Royal Road Expand effect. Before Wednesday's info drops the fate of Royal Road Extend and Enhance effects are hard to comment on.
