All I can say:
PLD Breaker attack
MCH Bio Blaster/Mecha Sidekick
DNC plays DDR
I'm definitely optimistic about the changes to Summoner. I just wish Phoenix got its own abilities (at least visually) rather than just having a fiery Deathflare. It looks like we gain access to a fire-based dot when Phoenix is up, so that's cool.
Astrologian's spell effects are just eye candy. Everything about it is so well done.
I'm really pumped and looking forward to learning these classes all over again! Just beautiful animation everywhere!
I'm curious as to how NIN's rotation is going to differ with the enhanced ninjutsu and shadow clone to account for now.
I main RDM I was excited about the changes but when I seen MCH...I'm glad I got my MCH to lvl 70. MCH is dope especially with the usage of the robot.
DRK wasn't edgy enough. So they increased its edginess two folds!
WHM looks like they got rid of the elemental effects and made stone and aero into white sparkly things. Maybe the second thing is also a non-water divine benison.
Other than that it looks like some medicas and PI and tetra, and those wings that probably just buff your heals so we're probably losing largesse for the second time, and then the final red lily thing.
Some neat stuff.
Gunbreakers can shoot their allies.
Bards get AoE Caustic Bite and a big ol' line attack.
Dragoon gets a new hop to use while in Life of the Dragon.
Fire IV Mage gets to spam Fire IV for another 2 years.
Samurai has an attack where they swing with their scabbard? Wut?
Warrior looks to have a second AoE attack that seems to combo off Overpower and generate 20 Gauge! Nice! Inner Release is still boring FC spam -.-
Red Mage gets VerFoul... Also what looks like VerMedica? Also Jolt doesn't seem to be necessary to cast Impact and for whatever reason, Impact was being used for the Dual Cast procs...
Paladin gets a bunch of AoE skills and a Shield Charge gap closer.
Ninja gets to stand around casting like a billion Ninjutsu for half an hour... Also, looks like they get a second AoE to combo after their Death Blossom.
White Mage... Used Holy aspected spells instead of Stone and Aero?
Scholar now also has a temporary "Stronk Summon" spell.
Summoner gets a new temporary pet for a second burst phase. Also, most importantly, neither burst phase required waiting around for 5 years while you built up Dreadwyrm Aether...
Machinist... Oh boy... Mecha Soldier, Rocket Drill Launcher, Fartthrower, Giant Repeating Crossbow, BDSM Launcher... Oh and a gun that looks like a sniper rifle (Meaning it also has a vestigial scope that will never be used in any attack animation and thus trigger tf out of me!)
Dancer... Does things? I think? I dunno... A lot of their trailer is them just dancing and not attacking anything :/
Dark Knight gets a bunch more AoE attacks. New Gauge that shows what I can only assume is Blood Weapon duration (Which seemed to be activated by a Dark Passenger looking attack). Can summon their Dark Side (Whether or not it's an actual reflection of yourself or just Fray is unclear, given that the dude in the trailer is dressed like Fray...). Also looked like Bloodspiller combo'd into something else.
To me it looks like Phoenix replaces the smn as the source of ruin abilites and akh morn.
Rather than doing it's own thing like Bahamut after smn does an action, Phoenix copies what would normally come out of the smn and does a fire version of it.
As you see in the trailer, smn rises in the air like it does during akh morn, but no akh morn comes out. Instead a fire pillar is from Phoenix.

I liked what I saw in the RDM portion, but I am not sure if we are getting AOE versions of areo and Thunder or if those are new spells we are getting. I was unable to tell from the video myself. I was kind of hoping to get upgrades for VerAero and VerThunder.
Can anyone confirm is MCH is gone now???
Mch turret gone now****
I was worried about SCH, but now I'm pretty hyped for that move the big fairy does after we give her Excog. I'm really hoping it spreads it to the party.
I'm not gonna lie.
WHM actions turned me on a little.
From what we see in the video, the boosted ninjutsu are fired after 2 kassatsu in a row. So Kassatsu might be one of those skills you can charge. But with the synergy removed there's a high chance trick attack's gone, so without having to worry about firing everything you've got in that 10 seconds window it'll probably just be weaving your ninjustu when they're up. Unless the clone mimic the ninjutsu too.
Hard for me to tell without seeing it in slow mo, is the paladin gap closer basically ramming into the target with your shield? Because I'm all for that. Hard to tell about the rest without knowing what the actions do but I'm glad they're changing the oaths.
It's a tribute to Rurouni Kenshin, he strike Udō Jin-e like that in the manga/anime +/-
And 'Meditate' it's a tribute to Udō Jin-e, he uses this technique to increase his fighting spirit during his fight against kenshin.
And Hissatsu: Guren is the style of Kenshin.
okay ff14 you did it again, iam hyped again, july 2nd lets go!!!
oh thank god.... monk got new attacks. We were seriously the only job in Stormblood not to get either a new attack or upgrade to an old one (wind tackle doesn't count!)
AST be like

Well... The Ammo counter is separate to the Heat Gauge right?
Also, it's mentioned in the Job Quests right? So unless they're rewriting them, it would be odd to remove it.
That and it does look like they're using Reload after Slug Shot at 11:44 in the trailer.
Seems that it may continue to be a thing.
Hopefully it's made less janky at least, by having Slug Shot/Clean Shot combo not require ammo to be guaranteed -.-
^mch got total make over, ammo is no more i think, gaus barrel is no also no more
So can someone help me understand the changes to the AST cards, or at least tell me what they believe is happening to them. It appears to me that since the LL said they all just increase dps just for different roles you would just chuck the cards out as you draw them. I am not sure how any other abilities would then interact with the cards you draw.
That was Reassemble my dude, the CD that makes your next weaponskill a 100% crit.
Having stared at the reload animation every day for the past 4 weeks (grinding out MCH to 70), I'm fairly certian the reload mechanic has gone. At least from what we have in the trailer. We'll have to see when the embargo is lifted.
Looks like:
Draw a card
It ends up being one of 4 damage boosts for different roles.
Use card on whatever role it applies most to.
Might still have Redraw available to fish for cards.
They appear to have removed Spread and Royal Road options, as well as the timed duration of holding a particular card normally.
At least, based off the Job Action Trailer.
If not, nom the card and get a Lord of Crowns/Lady of Crowns
There also seems to be another skill that consumes active card buffs from allies.
Astrologian got prettier, certainly. The solar system roiling about you...
Sleeve Draw sort of looks like Pot of Greed. Just lets you draw a bunch of cards in a row.
Each card has a symbol above it, I guess you need to collect the 3 symbols to use the galaxy trance skill. So presumably you would have to redraw if you already consumed that symbol to collect the symbols more efficiently which makes sense if they made every card a dps buff to shift more importance to the sign collection. Minor Arcana does not have any signs, so it seems like it is just another choice you can make if you draw the same symbol again if you don't want to redraw or if you have all the symbols already.
During the galaxy trance in the video it seems like the AST uses their version of indomitability (instant aoe heal). That's my interpretation of the video anyway.
Wonder if there's going to be a lore reason for WHM seemingly shifting to using strictly light/holy attacks instead of earth/wind.
Gameplay wise, I assume it's mostly cosmetic and done to dodge around the fact that there's no spell tier higher then -ja currently.
As an Astro main, I'd just like to say...AHEM! I GET TO BECOME A GALAXY! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
But really, so much was going on in the AST section, and it all leaves me asking so many questions with very little answers. I love that! I'm actually hyped to see what's gonna happen. (Also, I'm almost 100% sure that clock thing was haste, so I'm guessing Lightspeed is getting replaced.)
Other thoughts! I might go back to playing ninja for DPS fun. I want to know more about the MNK skills that 'hold' greased lightning. Also it looks like MNK is getting another attack that consumes Chakra, so yay for that. I might finally finish leveling DRG if they are actually removing heavy thrust cause that thing always tripped me up and left me flat on my face, looking like an idiot. There's a lot to unpack here and I'm already rewatching this trailer for the 10th time.
